My alarm monitoring now costs me $5/year. Seriously. Can you say the same? If not this might be for you.
How great is this? It is awesome. I went from $30/mo to $5/yr for my alarm monitoring. If you are like me and think the regular alarm is a waste of time, this is something you should look at. I bought a self monitored alarm with GSM capabilities. I am big into home automation, and I know from a friend who was robbed, the police just don't get to the house in time when someone decides to rob you, alarm or not. So, I decided I would rather be the monitor, with my cameras, and sensors, I could decide to call the cops, or not. So, I got the alarm, and set it up to call/text myself and my fiance, if there was an alarm. You might think that $5 is not much. But, if you setup the alarm to only notify you on a real alarm condition, how many of those do you expect to have in a year? I wasted a couple dollars setting up and testing this, and I still think that I will not need to refill the card this year. However, the money will expire if it is not used in a year. That is fine, because you can add money back to the card. I plan to add $5/yr. If that is not enough I will adjust my plan, but I really think it will be. Setup was simple, but I think that is based on the alarm. I inserted the card, and followed the instructions. I saved the phone number in my phone as "Alarm System" and setup the contact so that it would make sound and notify me no matter what. Remember, I am the monitor. If my alarm goes off I don't want to miss it because I set the phone to silent. For what it is, and what you get, it is ideal. I didn't need to call customer service, so I can't comment on that. I didn't have any issues in setup, and my test run worked perfectly. This is a great idea, and a great value. It will save me a lot of money over the years.

Recived an "expired" card
Update: I reached them and they sent me a new SIM card. Lost 2 weeks waiting for it to arrive. That said, it worked in my gate opener and worked flawlessly for one year. THEN it stopped. I called Speedtalk and they insisted that the card was fine, must be my device. Replaced the device, same result. After two months of back and forth with no service, I cancelled the number and gave up on Speedtalk. Original review: I bought this on March 17, 2023. Things happen in life. I put it aside and forgot about it for several months. Today I went to install the card and saw on it "Activate by 2/28/23". So even if I'd opened it when I received it, this thing was already "expired"? I tried calling Speedtalk customer service. The recording says they are closed. I'll try reaching them in the mroning, and will update my review to reflect what happens. Why on earth would the card expire in the first place?

Great bargain without the hassle of major carriers.
I purchased this card because it was cheap and I needed to test my alarm system before I invested in a monitoring plan. It was easy to activate and ready in a few minutes. SMS messages @ 2cents per message ,phone calls at 2 cents per minute. I decided to stick with this carrier for my system as it works flawlessly . 6month plan for 30 bucks @ 250 text or minutes per month. With the occasional oops, I forgot to disarm the system, still have plenty of time left. I got a second one for my backup cellphone. Turn off cellular data , those background apps can eat your 250 MB /month up. My service is running on the T-Mobile network.

Does what they say - reliable - costs what they say - FIVE bucks a month
This is an integral part of a Home Security System which we cobbled together from Amazon for $120. Do not let that price fool you. Within FOUR SECONDS of a sensor being tripped, I get a text message. Heck, I cannot even text the Wife within 4 seconds... 3 years ago, we bought a fixer upper and were vandalized 8 times within a year. It really slowed down our home improvements. By pairing this with a Kerui, a 12" by 12" solar panel, charge controller, $18 battery, and a few $6 Kerui motion sensors, the kids in the neighborhood no longer break windows when I go home for lunch. The $5 a month monitoring fee is nothing compared to the time and expense those kids cost us. Now we can improve our future residence with impunity. Amazon even sells sensors which work with the Kerui system to notify you if there is smoke or unsafe Carbon Monoxide levels. We are grateful for the new technology which is helping us make our dreams come true and thank SpeedTalk for a reliable data SIM card which is affordable. Keep the price low so more people will learn of your system! I am somewhat technically challenged, so it took me NINE months to take the SIM card out of the plastic, and put it in the Kerui home unit. Then a day or two of fiddling and somehow I got it working just fine without any 'app'. But it works. And I mean NOW. A guy could build a box with this, one of the new home security systems mentioned above, and a small SLA battery. Then bolt it in an inconspicuous place on his tractor, bulldozer, skid steer, etc. If that piece of equipment grew legs, the owner would get notified and could GPS track it. These SIM cards are a game changer if you want to keep your equipment/home intact.

Works great for my alarm system!
I had been trying to get a US Mobile sim card to work in my iMeshbean GSM alarm system without success, couldn't ever connect to their network. This one works great! Activated online and put it in and it just started working without any configuration. My only complaint is that you cannot just set up recurring billing, instead it appears you have to pay for each month when it comes around. You can "refill" another month and "stack" it, but I tried to do a third month and their website wouldn't let me. However, if this works, I think I can refill the service every month or two because it's pretty easy on their website.

So far, so good
It's a Sim card for an alarm system, not a lot to talk about here. The card arrived in good time and with no damage. The security system it was purchased for is still yet to be installed. I've been setting up all the camera's around the property. That and the fact that parts for the security system haven't all arrived yet, this isn't a reflection on this seller I purchased the SIM card from, these are all different sellers. Some are just faster than others, this one was great, I believe the card arrived within 2 days of ordering, so that was great. The plan for the $5 card is perfect, depending on your system you might want to make sure your system isn't sending text alerts every time the alarm arms and disarms or the 250 minutes or 250 texts or 250 MB data you are allotted for $5 a month will burn up pretty quick. You would be hard pressed to find a better priced plan with your cellular provider, $60 a year for the peace of mind knowing that if anything happens at the home front you'll be alerted via text in minutes. Having an independent camera system you can access within moments of receiving the text from the alarm is just another warm fuzzy blanket on a chilly night. If I had any criticism for the project it would be that the "Triple cut SIM card to fit any device" feature be made just a tad more robust, in trying to use the middle cut for the sim, they all came apart and I had to pretty much cram the smallest sized sim and wedge it into the middle sized template. It took only a few seconds, so not exactly a big issue, I just figured best to give an honest, unbiased review. So there you have it, 5 out of 5 possible Star's today. I'll come back in 6 months and update my review. Till then buy with confidence, this seller has been Legit.

Never activated, no service.
When I tried to activate the SIM card I could never complete the activation due to having to pay for service to finish the activation. The sim was supposed to come with 30 days of service and be easy to activate but I had wasnโt paying for a month of service without getting the month that I paid for at time of purchase.

Well worth the money!
We were trying to update an old alarm system and thought this might do the trick. It was inexpensive enough to warrant a try, and we were very happy with the results. Well worth the money!

Compatibility is the question.
I have cellular communicator Resolution 208 ....and GE SIMON XTi keypad (GSM SIM card in it).......I found out that GSM SIM card is embedded with the system and is not replaceable.......in this alarm system. But on your website says it will work in any system. What should I do open the package and try or return it without opening to get the refund.
