I few months back after purchase I took a spill on my bike going about 20mph and this helmet definitely did its job in protecting my head. The impact caused some minor scuffing and scraping on the side of the helmet, but the integrity of the helmet remained fully intact. Despite the visible signs of the crash, I'm still very impressed with the quality and durability of this helmet. The outer shell is tough and the padding inside provided excellent shock absorption, preventing any injuries. I'm confident that if I had not been wearing this helmet, the outcome would have been much worse. The fit is also great - it's comfortable and secure without being overly tight. And for the reasonable price, you really can't beat the protection and performance of the Retrospec Dakota. While the surface damage is a bit unsightly, I'm still very satisfied with this helmet and plan to continue using it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality helmet for biking, skateboarding, or other action sports. It may have saved me from a serious head injury, seriously.

Very good helmet it's comfortable breathe as well seems very durable feels like it would really protect me in an accident looks good on me when I'm skateboarding and why is the best color to choose because it's the coolest temperature in the heat it dissipates the heat better than anything else and also is easy to see at night time I have an extra large head and it fit me just fine .

Not bad overall. Fits well and feels sturdy enough for everyday use. Nothing exceptional but solid for the price.

For the price, you can’t beat this one. I went matte black and decided to customize mine with some decals. I bought a large and with one extra pad thrown in (included), it fits just right.

Fits as expected. The colors are as expected as well. It's comfortable especially with the foam piece in the front. It doesn't move around on my head and really stays put. The straps have stayed where I adjusted them as well, though I haven't ridden very far yet. That said, I always update if I have a change of opinion later on. It is safety rated for 1 fall, so if you hit your head in a crash, definitely replace it. It's a great helmet for mild activity. I just plan on riding park trails with friends, nothing in the woods, dirt or jumps so it'll be good for that. A lot of people were complaining about the fit so... measure your head with a soft measuring tape. If you don't have one, use a string to wrap around your head then measure the string from end to end where they met. It won't be a perfect fit out of the box, so use the provided fillers to adjust as needed. I wear a bandana, so I only needed 1 in the front, without the bandana I needed 1 in the back as well. It comes with 4.

It looks cooler in pictures. When it's on my head, I look like a bit of an idiot. It's super bulky. But I suppose it needs to be bulky in order to provide the necessary protection. But other helmets seems to be thinner. I wish they had sizes too because this is a bit too small, and when that's the case, it's not comfortable at all because there's no flex or give to the foam. I had one significant crash while wearing it and I smashed my face straight into the street – avoiding the helmet entirely – quite an accomplishment. That's not the fault of the helmet, but just ironic.

Capacete é bonito mas veio com riscos e faltando espuma interna central de substituição. Pra um capacete nesse valor deveria haver mais cuidado.

Likes : fit well, adjustable, comfortable. Very happy with it. Dislike : I bought the white / cream color and it does show scuff marks easily. But I love the color.
