have the instructions gotten any better since the reviews from 2008-9?

No! The instructions are not any better and many of the projects you build require extra parts that aren't in the kit. Ridiculous for the amount of money they charge!

I am going to bring this overseas as a gift to my family. Would you please tell me how big is the box and how much does it weigh? Thank you.

The box is 14" L x 11" W x 3" D. It weighs less than a pound.

Can a replacement manual be purchased separately? My grandson misplaced his before we got started .
