I was dubious but these worked well on a small area rug between a door and some stairs that my dog is always bounding down. She would slide the rug all over each trip. These have stopped that and have held in place without slipping for quite a while now. My wife has not noticed they are there which is good since she didn't want them.

Works Perfect. The rug stays in place and keeps the corners lying flat.

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed these yet, as I have purchased them numerous times! These things work WONDERS. We use these on all of our rugs, and they work perfectly. They have prevented kids from tripping, the corners getting destroyed, and me constantly trying to get the rug at the correct angle. It is super easy to use - you literally pull off the sticker backing and stick it to the rug and repeat on the other side and stick to the floor. They are clearly labeled so you can see which side goes to where. You cannot see them when they are underneath, which is super nice! They hold the rug in place and I don't have to keep moving my rug where it needs to go. I love these and will forever keep using them!

The top critical reviewer here states in his review that it says "rug side" on the brown paper side. That's no longer the case. You have the brown paper side and the white side with black in the corner. The white & black side goes against the floor. The black corner is for stability and doesn't peel off....only the two white stickers peel off to reveal the gel/sticky substance. I tested to see if the gripper came off the rug easily, and it doesn't. When I installed them, I stood on each corner for awhile to make sure they adhered well. I recently spent $1000's of dollars on new luxury vinyl plank flooring, I'm hesitant to remove the white paper backing to stick these to my LVP flooring. Since these are attached to a woven-back 4 x 6 area rug, the rug itself doesn't slide much. If I didn't want it to slide at all, I might take a chance, but as long as the corners remain flat, that's all I care about. I could have gone with the black grippers made by this company that don't stick to the floor, but chose these because the price was the same.

Love these! I used them on a runner in a high traffic area (dog, cat, and kids) by the front door. This product is the only thing I've used that works. It held up on my rug until I decided to replace the rug. It was easy to remove and didn't cause damage to my floor. I purchased another set to put on my new rug. Highly recommend!

I really didn't think it would work. Probably too because I was expecting a gripper that was only a few inches long. So to my surprise when I saw it, each gripper was quite large. But that's not even the best part. What's great about it is that it's very easy to use. I mean it's just like a sticker so just peel, stick, and press down. They work great on both hardwood and tile, keeping everything securely in place. I even tested them on my outdoor patio rug, and they held up beautifully. If you're tired of worrying someone is going to trip over the rug, or you're tired of fixing your rug every time someone walks over it, do yourself a favor and grab these rug grippers.

Based on the many 5-star reviews, I'm guessing these work very well when you need to "stick" a small rug to a hard surface (i.e., hardwood or tile). My situation was different. Our laundry room includes a door to the garage thru which we enter the house 99% of the time. The room is carpeted. To prevent excessive wear in the carpet from the traffic entering the house and proceeding ~2-3 steps to the kitchen, my wife had them make a small throw rug that measures 27" x 47" that we put on the carpet. We have had a long-time problem with the rug slinking backward a fraction of an inch every time it's walked on. Eventually, it would fold when it came to the wall, and we would often catch our feet in the fold and almost fall. This product seemed to be the solution to our problem. In short, it wasn't. The grippers definitely keep the corners of the rug from curling, and they do stay adhered to the rug. What they don't do is stick tightly enough to the carpet underneath to keep the rug from creeping when stepped on. I actually corresponded with the president of the company about this issue. Great guy, who explained that the product is new and they were pleased to get information like this. The issue is the aggressiveness of the adhesive on the grippers. It is sufficient to grab and hold on a hard surface without being difficult to pick up if needed. But it is not sufficiently aggressive to stick to carpet. What I'm hoping is that they will come out with one designed specifically for rug-on-carpet applications. Incidentally, the company really does stand behind their guarantee. They gave me a full refund without requiring me to return them. For anyone needing to keep a rug from moving on a HARD surface, I would recommend them.
