I'm confused with the answers about what size baskets these filters fit. Some say 4-cups, some say 8-12 cups. (I have a 4-cup machine.)

This particular filter is 8-12 cups, This brand also has other styles. You need to find the style that fits a 4 cup machine.

Do these fit 4 cup drip coffee makers? I have a small (4 cup) drip coffeemaker and it's really hard to find unbleached 4 cup coffee basket filters for it. Thanks for your help.

Yes they do! I had a hard time finding the unbleached as well! They work for my Mr. Coffee 4 cupper! It's an old model - maybe 2005 or so.....is this helpful to you? Enjoy the unbleached flavor of the brew! Yes they are flat bottomed as previous reviewer mentioned!!!

Where are the filters made?

There is writing on the box that says 'product of Germany'.

Are they biodegradable?

I put them in my compost heap, where they do break down quite quickly.
