SO MUCH FUN
I had a crappy setup back in the day that was impossible to practice on. This lil unit RIPS. So easy to practice your scratches & cuts. The lil fader is awesome and makes basic transforming easy. The arm never skips, you can get pretty aggressive and your sample stays put. Plug in a mp3 player with some beats, turn up the gain and get lost for hours!

If U are Itching 4 a Scratch this is it!
I figured the unit would have to be upgraded for the ability to "cut it up" with gusto and scratches wouldn't be precisely comparable to what I'm use to. I WAS WRONG! I'm old school, so moving the fader a longer distance than most folks using the "Hamster" style cut & scratch so the fader didn't cause me any changed variables. I had to learn how to move my fader hand & fingers REALLY fast so if thats ur style to, this is a TREAT! For this price, unbeatable, for the portability, unmatched, pair it with a 7" control vinyl, Mixfader/D Jay 2/Native Instruments/Serato ur FULLY portable with help from an external speaker!

Great portable for the price. Scratch anywhere and still have gas to get home.
Great portable turntable for the price. Pros Small, light, and portable as it should be. You can scratch using 7" vinyl or bigger but works bets with 7" scratchy vinyl. Usb interface for recording vinyl if you really need to. Personally I would just go from the output into what ever recording device you're using. 1/8, 1/4, rca outputs. 1/8 auxilary input and volume control to plug in any device like a phone and play yoru beats. Internal speaker if you don't have headphones or a portable speaker. Many mods out there to make this a beast. All parts can be modified pretty easily. You can use 6 D batteries or plug it in the wall. Personally I just did a rechargeable lithium ion battery mod. Lighter, rechargeable and even more portable. Cons The small latch is prone to breaking because it's held by a small piece of plastic that latches on to the body. NEVER PICK it up by the cover. That was my mistake, I was just gonna move it from one end of the desk to the other and SNAP!. The stock fader it comes with acts more like a toggle switch. I prefer faders to slide like the kind you see on all the latest mixers. Audio can come out a little muffled at times even with the tone set to high. Platter can be a little wobbly for the heavy handed scratch but you can buy some stable bars for it and put underneath. In short, a great portable turntable for scratching for the price. All cons can be remedied by installing the many mods already out there in the market. I recommend this turntable for any scratch enthusiast.

Amazing turntable!
High quality turntable works great right out of the box. Bought for my daughter to learn the basics of scratching but is legit enough for even a scratch master!

started having quality control issues right away.
The headphones works fine, but after maybe thirty minutes of light use the speaker intermittently goes out. Also the switch plastic piece fell off. <update> Got a replacement and in three day the aux out quit working. When I contacted Numark they told me the first one that came with no working speaker was "past warranty", I told them I bought it three day ago. I called Amazon, they sent a replacement. I checked all "outs" that day, worked fine. Today I wanted to jam through my sound system, no longer works. Brand new cables that worked the other day. Other devices work through the same aux inputs.

Great for learning to scratch on a budget
Speakers are a little quieter than a cell phone. Go ahead and order a 45 adapter if you don't already have one on hand because the one with it is entirely non-functional haha. Other than that this things a blast for learning def look into mods eventually, but just out of the box of you're new to scratching this is a great lil tool for the price.

bought maybe used but still taped
the record player seemed brand new as still had tape on it but it didnt play records as in online videos. i was unable to get a replacement through amazon but went to numarks website and did a profile. it took several tickets and going online to get any support at all. after i watched videos i had already seen. finally i got a person that let me file a warrenty they will either fix or return a new one. i didn't see any eclip on this as in the videos.

This is exactly what you think. An entry level turntable that allows scratching and cross fading. It’s fun. I was ripping old records within minutes of unboxing. At $220 bucks it’s a fair investment even if you turn around and buy a pair of 1200s for a couple grand. Batteries will have you annoying people at the park. The hard shell case gives serious 1979 vibes but redone in a hard black with red felt. It’s bad ass. That’s why I choose empire to rip first. I already love this little guy a week in even if most of the time I’ll just use it to digitize vinyl with the free software. Forced negative perceptions: if an aftermarket cross fader is better why not allow a bundled one? Other colour options would be fun?(i love black and red but there are other palettes out there. )… would also love an option for automatic bar placement?

Nice. Batteries bounce in the case if you carry by the handle. I recommend getting a bag when going a long distance with it. Fader has an unexpected feel but I love it now. Internal speaker is okay for practice but get an external speaker for the barbecue jam session or chilling in the park.
