Got these for a rogue mass storage setup, and they are perfect. The vertical supports are 2”x2” and 11 gauge (about 1/16” thick), and these caps are snug but will work. They hang over slightly, so it may be the sizing is a bit off. But for the price, it’s a great way to finish off the rack and it’s a much cleaner look.

Somewhere along the way the end cap our hose stand cracked and was lots. I didn’t want to leave it uncovered as rain water and bugs would make their way in. The square metal tube measured 1.5 inches and I’m happy to report these end caps are true to size and fit like a glove. The cap installed easily and has ribs that slide into the square tube making the cap fit snug and giving the protection I was looking for. The caps have a nice beveled finish look when installed. The caps themselves our made of a hard black plastic. They have a good weight and look like they will hold up to any scratch resistant or banging of the hose. Highly recommend

Fit well in my aluminum trailer 2" square tubing ends. They were easy to replace the missing plugs.

Had to DIY a replacement fence for my DeWalt contractor saw as I couldn't justify the cost of a new fence assembly for a good, but old table saw. Using 1.5" square aluminum tubing got the job done and these caps sealed the ends of the tubing very well. The side fins that go inside the tube are very firm, fit tightly, but, as per other reviews, I 'warmed'(not heated) up the fins and inserted them slowly and straight so the cap could center itself while cooling. The fins cooled and created the firmness to hold the caps in properly and look great.

The first one wouldn’t sit tight to the end of the tube. When removed, the fins had broken off and jammed up under the head of the cap. So I removed the burrs from the tube and used a hot air gun on low to preheat the rest of the fins of the caps so they would be more flexible and that worked great. I didn’t remove the burrs on the last few and the heating method worked well anyway.

I have a project using aluminum square tubing with two different wall thicknesses. These guys easily worked with both due to their fin design. Unfortunately, on the thicker-walled tube, they wound up a bit off-centre.
