Follow up to my previous review. This thing is OUTSTANDING for what it is.
I've now had this machine for about a month and a half. I know it looks like it should come with an EZ-Bake oven, but this is no toy. I'm utterly serious when I say that the washer does a much better job of getting clothes clean than a "regular" North American type washer/dryer set. The water literally whips the clothes around in the tub (you have to see it to believe it) and my stuff has never been cleaner. My apartment doesn't have hookups and the laundry room is in the basement 10 floors down with ancient Speed Queen machines that are as old as I am--and $5.00 to wash/dry clothes was getting ridiculous, so I got this. First, I really thought my wife and I required as large of a machine as possible. The fact is this 26lb model could VERY EASILY accommodate a family of four. If you want to save some money, the 17lb model would likely be far more than you need for two people. I got this model because it had a drain pump. Put it on a small dolly that we just wheel into the kitchen on wash day, and put the drain hose into the sink--much better than the gravity-drain models. ONE ITEM THAT IS A MUST: The hoses that come with this are meant I think for asian homes where the faucets are much smaller than ours. I bought something called a "RINSEROO", available on Amazon, which is a faucet adapter that fits ANY faucet and the hoses of which fit the machine perfectly for filling the unit. I can't overstate the fact that I "overbought" with this machine. While the dimensions suggest otherwise (it is very compact) it holds a LOT of laundry. Multiple towels (heavy bath sheet types), jeans, etc etc. The downside to all this capacity is that it takes about 10 minutes to fill the wash tub with our rather low-flow kitchen sink, and the next size down would shorten that time. With all that said, picture two 50-somethings watching this thing agitate their clothes in a whirlpool of sheer power! LOL. It really is astonishing that something this inexpensive does a BETTER JOB than a regular washer. It is, however, more labor intensive, and you have to watch it while it fills (no auto-shutoff, YOU are the water level sensor). We turn on the water, and set the kitchen timer for 10 minutes to avoid a flood. It's worth the time, because everything for us fits in one load with room to spare. Also: The spinner is NOT A DRYER!!!!!!! It simply gets the excess water out and does NOT dry--PEOPLE: READ ABOUT THESE MACHINES. I'm tired of people complaining that it isn't a heated dryer. With that said, clothing comes out of the spinner DAMP. You literally cannot wring any water out of them, and we hang dry for a couple hours which works just fine and likely saves a TON of electricity. We are ASTOUNDED at how well this works, especially the agitation and how clean everything comes out. It's hard to believe the cost when compared to standard machines, and yet get this result. If you can't have a "normal" washer/dryer set, THIS IS A GOD SEND, works far better than advertised, and it is one of those things that is just so simple, it's a thing of beauty. Have I mentioned the agitation? LOL. No other standard washer even comes close to moving this much water around, thus things are just so much cleaner. After the detergent wash cycle which is up to 15 mins, we transfer the stuff into the spinner, and hook up the hose to the spin side of the machine, which rinses the soap out while it spins. We then fill the tub back up for a thorough rinse, but I suspect the "spin rinse" would actually have an acceptable result if you're short on time. In closing, if you don't have laundry hookups in your abode, this is exactly (more than) what you need! FIVE STARS. We are totally impressed and satisfied. Just know WHAT IT IS, and do yourself a favor and watch a couple you tube videos, and you'll be equally impressed, guaranteed. PS- The instruction manual is absolutely hilarious, with extremely poorly translated Chinese to English. It's almost worth the purchase just to see how bad the instructions are, LOL. You'd think a company this large could hire a proper translator--but at least it's cheap entertainment that's included with your purchase!

Good washing machine
Washes a larger amount of clothes, and I thought it would clothes come out very clean. I have learned to untangle the clothes by leaving them in the water and putting my hands into the middle of the clothes and start pushing out and clothes become untangled very quickly do not drain the water and then try to untangle them. Youโll be stuck in the middle of a nightmare. The spa dry works best with a small amount of clothes in it clothes come out much dryer. Do not pack it full of clothing you get poor results machine is very quiet. I am very pleased.

Good buy
I like the size and it gets the job done. It is a bit louder than what I anticipated. Itโs light weight to carry. The spinner is smaller than expected. Over all a good buy.

Small, yet it โWORKS GREAT!โ
The Giantex washer works very well, and does a really nice job! Our washer quit, and we could not get a replacement right away. We found this small washer right away & it works great! It has 2 sides. On one side, you put clothes in, and fill it up with water. Then, you add water, a little detergent, and turn dial to start the wash. After the wash cycle you drain the water and move the clothes to the spinner side and spin to remove the water from the clothes. To rinse put the clothes back in the washer, and fill with fresh water, run again, and then spin again. If you still have a dryer, you can dry your clothes in there. If you do not have a dryer, you can hang your clothes up til they dry. We do recommend, not using, too much laundry detergent. We were in a tight situation, for having to wait so long for our new washer, to go in our laundry room. We were really glad to have this washer, until we got our new one. Be sure to read the directions to this washer, before you use it, and when you use it. The directions, really help! We are keeping this small washer, to use if needed again anytime!

One of the best purchases we ever made!
So my guy and I live in a tiny apartment that is a duplex from a slightly bigger house. We do not have washer and dryer hookups because the bigger part of the duplex has those. We have been using laundrymats for nearly 6 years, so we decided to order a portable washer. Now my guy is very meticulous in what he chooses to order. He had been looking around Amazon for one that he liked, that had good reviews, and would fit our needs. I started looking and came across this one. I showed it to him and he said it was one that he had looked at as well. We pulled the trigger on the purchase. OMG! When we got it we did a little load just to see how it went. The hookup was quick and easy. The only complaint I will say was that the washer inlet hose that came with it was... flimsy at best. For a little while, til we could get something that was much more suitable, we simply used a bucket (which does take a min) or the sink sprayer (Which is nice but you have to stand there the whole time) to fill it up. The washer did not leak, the drain feature worked as it should and the time to wash was crazy fast, even for heavy loads. Some of our clothes needed a second wash but that was not the washer's fault. We were also pleasantly surprised by how little noise it made! Our neighbor goes to sleep early because she works early and we have done laundry late into the night. On the other side of our small apartment, you can barely hear the swish, swish of the washer side, and the spin cycle side spins out EVERYTHING we have put in it with no second spins needed! I even recommended it to a friend who was thinking about getting something for him and his fiancee who are in a similar situation to me and my guy! Highly recommend! PS: the directions are kinda hard to read, with some bad translations and typos, but you can pretty much get the jest of what to do to get it started. PPS: the item may come labeled as Costway but a little research showed me that Giantex owns that brand as well.

DO NOT BUY THIS
Edit: we finally were offered a full refund. But I still wouldn't recommend buying it because it didn't last very long. We have been using portable washing machines like this one for years. We bought this one after our old one died on us after 2 years of service. The old one was a different brand and quite a bit smaller. So we opted to get the bigger one to have less loads to clean. The first two weeks went great. Except the lint catcher fell off during washes, so we took it off. Then 3 weeks into having the thing it broke. The washing side did not spin anymore so the laundry just sat in still water not cleaning. It was still in the 1 month time frame for return/refund. So I contacted Amazon to return it. They sent the return slip and I went to mail it back. I didn't keep the box so I had to pay $60 to buy a custom size box to mail it back. Then after it was returned I get an email saying my refund was cancelled. I will not be getting my money back. Not only the 250 I spent on the machine but the 60 to mail it back was wasted. If I knew it wasn't going to be refunded I would have kept the pile of trash and tried to fix it myself. But with the time limit running out I mailed it.

Broken knob and no gravity drainage.
It works fine, but one of the knobs broke within months of use. I was not able to find replacement knobs on the website. I also do not like that it uses the motor to drain the water. I'm off-grid so I need to conserve power. My last one used gravity to drain the water and worked just fine without the motor. Before purchasing, I looked over the reviews and there was not mention of the motor operated drainage. Otherwise I would have chosen a different model.

Portable washing machine
Iโm very happy with this portable washing machine. It worked exactly how I saw on the videos I watched on YouTube. The washing machine that I picked is big enough to wash sheets and towels. The spinner works well and takes out a lot of water making it easy to line dry. I was also happy that it came without any damage during shipping.

This just works, Perfect for places that can't accommodate a traditional washing machine.
I previously purchased one of the small fully automatic washers from another seller and it was horrible. Replaced twice. the thing tore holes in my floor during the spin cycle. I had owned one similar to this one years prior and seeing they added the drain pump took a change with it. I've had it about a month now and have done too many loads to count, It's perfect. The spin cycle is louds but the machine does not grind into the floor like the other one. A tip to the manufacture. Make the drain hose longer (I purchased a universal extension) an make the fill hose with a screw on attachment. I purchased a spare hose for the fully automatic washer, it has the sink attachment and I have the other end just hanging inside the wash bin, It works perfectly and makes filling much easier. All around, this is a fantastic purchase.

GIANTEX WASH & SPIN DRY MACHINE
We live in an apartment. Once they raised the rates for both wash & dry that's when I decided to purchase our own washer and dryer. We first bought a Giantex Washing Machine which washes small loads on one side, spin dries on the other side. After spin, clothes are almost dry. We bought the Panda Dryer 3.5 cu. It's a good dryer, works well and very pleased with it. Love that I no longer have to lug everything down to the basement and can do laundry anytime I want.

Testing My New Portable Washer
The plug-in cord should be 3 feet longer as I could just reach the wall plug. Also, it would be helpful to have the drain hose on the right side of the machine. My Danby had the drain hose on the right and it made it easier for draining into the sink. Had difficulty removing the lint cover. Why was there no product name on the washer? I gave it a trial run today and it operated just fine. Hopefully the manufacturer will install a longer electric cord to make it easier to plug in. Since the electric outlet is near the bottom of the machine it reduces extension length of the cord. Hope they fix this. If I have any further comment I'll let you know. The intake hose didn't fit the tap so I used a bucket to fill the machine. The manual should list items not to be washed in the machine. The Manual: Could some explain what is meant by the following from pg.03 Function and Feature Perfect design and full models with the plastic and aluminum alloy body Never rusty within washing double water stream Hand-wheel design makes the clothing clear Washing with three streams of water Dishing fire wave from new stream, et the clothing out of twining, highly clean with lower fray. Dissolve wash powder quickly and the high clean more than the common double-tube washing machine. With high function and quiet sound, the hand wheel never frays. Is there someone who could translate this into proper English so I can understand what they are talking about? SG

Could be made with better quality
I had a few issues with my machine that I ordered. I gave it 3 stars because of what I did like about it. The size of loads that can be done with this machine is great, perfect for my family of 4. I loved that I could wash my bed sheets and small blankets. I enjoyed the process, (some I know find it too manual) I like being in control of when it washes, drains, rinses, and spins, and I could multitask during each process. But the quality of the parts used in the machine are why I took 2 stars off, and actually had to return my machine. The motor for the spin cycle and the motor for the drain pump were faulty on my machine, with a strong smell of burning. Also for those thinking of buying this machine, and ones like it with the drain pump, the drain pump (unless actually stated) is not for pumping the water up into a sink, it still needs to be "gravity drained" with lowering the hose for draining into a tub, or floor drain. I have done a lot of research on this and there are only a few that actually can drain up into a sink. And for me, with my family, putting this into our tub for washing and draining was just not for us.

Perfect for what we Wanted
Back years ago we had an old Hoover SidebySide which was large & heavy. This little machine is great ! 35 lbs means Easily picked up and moved outside for Laundry Day. It works well for small loads & for anyone considering replacing their Large Washer this might be a good choice for you. Set up a clothesline or rack for Drying and you're All Set ! Oh final comment, we ordered this machine and within 5 days we had it delivered from Ontario across Canada to our Doorstep on Vancouver Island.
