Sega Genesis Mini - Genesis

Using Amazons fastest delivery service I received this item within 6 days from the US which was fantastic. The item arrived safely but was only in delivery bag/wrapper which meant the box of the item isn't as perfect as I'm used to with UK based items… but it was fine... It had been on a long journey and everything inside is well protected. The mini console itself is amazing… its exactly as advertised on Amazon. The item comes with the mini console itself, two three-button controllers, an HDMI cable, micro USB power cable and a USB power adapter (note this is US plug). The console is the US version of the Sega Mega Drive and therefore has the US artwork on the items box and within the menu screens of the console. All working perfectly! Very satisfied customer

Xmas present, son just loves it

Cons are there are some pretty awful games to choose from, quite a few actually but the cons are that the 5 or 6 titles that are the obvious choices are great fun and hours passed away playing.

It’s a used item, I’m so sad. The box was broken, the machines has human long brown hair and mould. Photos attached. So sad that I have to return it.

Got this for my girl for a present and it dose not even work , you cant even see anything out off it save your self the money and time and don't buy this rubbish

Después de que Nintendo nos trajera el NES mini y el SUPER NES mini y Sony dijera “Yo también” y sacara al aventón el olvidable PS mini, Sega nos presenta su versión mini del Genesis a 30 años de su salida original. Si bien las consolas de Nintendo eran infinitamente más populares y era relativamente raro el niño de la cuadra o de la escuela que optara por la consola de Sega, si fuiste ese niño raro, realmente apreciarás esta versión del Sega Genesis. Ya han existido otras opciones de la consola hechas por otras compañías y con extras como controles inalámbricos y mayor cantidad de juegos, pero siempre quedaban a deber. De igual manera salieron compilaciones para el 360, PS3 así como para el XBONE y PS4 con las franquicias completas dígase Phantasy Star 2, 3 y 4; Golden Axe 1, 2, 3 y la serie de Streets of Rage más esta consola trae varios títulos que nunca han salido en compilaciones anteriores. La caja incluye cable usb, adaptador de corriente (que el NES mini y Super NES no incluían) y dos controles réplica tamaño original de la consola. El total de juegos es de 24 pero si cambian el idioma de la consola, a japonés, por ejemplo, se modifican las imágenes de las portadas a las correspondientes a la región y variantes en el nivel de dificultad en algunos juegos. La emulación está hecha por la compañía M2 que se ha encargado de hacer las compilaciones anteriores lanzadas en las consolas antes mencionadas y dada su experiencia la calidad de los juegos es impecable. Si estás jugando, puedes dejar oprimido el botón de start y se despliega un menú con la opción de guardar tu juego e ir al menú principal, no es necesario pararte e ir a oprimir directamente un botón en la consola para ir al menú, como es el caso del SUPER NES, pero NO tiene la función de rewind para repetir alguna sección particularmente difícil. Si tuviste Super Nintendo y tienes curiosidad de que traía la competencia, esta es tu mejor opción para ver lo que te perdiste. Los juegos son “difíciles” pero los estándares actuales pero eran lo normal en esa época. Y si tuviste el Genesis, recordarás y apreciarás todos los pequeños detalles y más que incluyeron. La verdad es una consola que se hizo y se desarrolló con toda la mano, nada al aventón. Ojalá hubieran puesto este empeño para el PS Mini.

I never did play Sega a whole lot growing up, I was more into Nintendo, but this system is awesome as well as nostalgic. There's a pretty decent assortment of games, and from the few I've played so far the gameplay is smooth and the graphics are represented pretty well on your average HD TV. I can only compare it to the other mini Nintendo systems that were released a couple years back. The main menu is a different style than the Nintendo consoles, but I almost prefer this one because you can sort the games a few different ways if you're not sure what game you want or how you want to view them. It also describes each game, which type it is (side-scrolling, RPG, etc.) and the save states are easy to use. One good thing I found with this system is there is very little lagging or loading time when going between main menu and gameplay, especially compared to the Nintendo minis. Lastly, the controllers worked great from the start, no stiff new buttons that felt awkward or had to be "broken in" first, so to speak. All in all, it's a great little throwback toy for around $100, it's well worth the money and I would recommend.
