These cutters are just perfect for my commercial plumbing trade! I have other brands but this manufacturer is definitely the leader. Spring loaded so it opens quickly to fit any size pipe and super user friendly for comfort. Quality, comfort, and speed. Works great unless you are in tight areas. Overall a 5 out of 5 review from me.

Best copper pipe cutter I’ve ever used.

Works extremely well without requiring any skill, makes very clean cuts. Also like that you can get different and replacement cutter wheels for it. Solid.

This 151 and the 152 model cutters both adjust instantly making them much faster to operate than their standard cutters, especially when working with different pipe diameters. It is a bit wider and longer than the standard model but for open areas or bench work, this design is best because it offers instant adjustability and more leverage for cutting larger diameter pipe sizes.

This handy guy is perfect for all my copper cutting needs. I will say that it's a bit large of a tool for 3/4 pipe, although it will cut it perfectly. The tool just feels a bit large in the hands for such a small pipe. I believe some thumb cutters are in my near future as well because of some, "in position" cutting that makes life a bit difficult with these larger cutters. But overall, they dob work exactly as described on copper and pvc. Even has an extra cutting wheel in the handle. The spring loaded handle is extra handy as well. Any chance possible to make that little spring a little harder to not get snagged and pop off? That was a 30 min fishing a small spring through a small hole adventure. That honestly I didn't have to fix for the function of the cutters just more of a quality of life kinda thing. Anyhow, great product by a great company. Go Ridgid!

I use this daily at work for cutting copper tubing. Very good quality and easy to use. Only complaint is the price and the included deburr tool isn't the best.

I bought this pipe cutter to cut 2-3/8" Steel pipe used for a chain link fence. I was skeptical at first, but it performed flawlessly cutting 16 gauge steel pipe. I used the default copper cutting wheel that came on the unit. The spring release is a great feature. The wheel tracked very well and when I rotated around the pipe it fell right back into the channel it had started. I believe the key is to not turn the knob in too much at the start. Take your time and don't over tighten the knob. Took about 5 minutes to cut through the steel pipe. Left a nice, clean cut all the way around. There were some burrs on the inside but that's easy to fix. I cut 11 steel pipes and the blade wheel looks brand new still. No dings or nicks in the blade at all. I'm confident this will give me years of good use.
