Works great, and is durable.
Works great both on my trumpet and cornet. On the trumpet, I get a very small sound, which is great to practice late at night or early in the morning while everyone else is still sleeping. On the cornet, it's a bit of a louder sound, which is still OK (probably due to larger bell/bore on the cornet I think). I've had it for a while now, and it's still in very good condition.

Top quality practice mute!
Fits my Besson trumpet perfectly. Super quiet without back pressure. Allows me to practice quietly without bothering anyone. Has been critical to allowing me to practice more and improve my skills. Super quality at a low price!

Great Trumpet mute
I just love this mute. I can carry this one in place of carrying three. I use it as a straight mute, a cup mute and as a practice mute. When you figure you got three mutes in one, the price doesn't seem so high. Plus it give a beautiful sound. I can use my tuner while using it and get accurate tuning while using it. I recommend this mute,

Great mute for the price! Good sound, more volume, and fits larger bell trumpet....
I was looking for a good wah wah (harmon style) mute to keep in my car with my pocket trumpet, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of this mute. One of the big complaints about using these types of mutes in a Big Band or Concert Band setting is that, with the stem out, they dampen the sound of the trumpet too much. This mute provides the "buzz" you're looking for, but also puts out more sound than the other wah wah mutes I've used, which are both very popular models (Harmon and Jo-Ral). It is not as warm a sound as the Jo-Ral copper, but it allows about 1/3 more sound to reach the audience. The other thing I like about this mute is that the cork is big enough that is actually works in my large bell (like a Bach 72) trumpet without having to add any additional cork. All in all, a great purchase. It has become my primary wah wah mute.

Great quality mute, check your sizing though
Iโve been using this mute on and off for about a year and a half now in collegiate settings. The tone quality is great, thereโs enough dampening to have an intimate sound but not enough to keep the horn from filling up a hall. Only problem I have is the cork. I play on a Bach 37 (smaller bell size) and the cork is so thick I either have to kinda mash it in for an extended performance or hold it to the bell for quick hits. I donโt regret this purchase at all, just if youโre looking for something long term, make sure it properly fits your horn.

Great Value!
Excellent for Price and Performance! This Liberty mute is something we do not see very much in musical instruments these days, a great value for performance and price. This mute would be great for low income trumpet students or players of much experience because quality is excellent in this mute, like keeping in tune on low notes like the low G or F# . Most low price mutes are not good down there. Overall sound is full or edgy as you play the individual notes,of course I am speaking of the mute with stem removed for that Miles type sound we trumpetplayers love so much. The mute has good holding power in the bell of the trumpet or cornet and is not heavy as some mutes are. I recommend this to beginner or professional of many years.

It Works!!
Again, great reviews and price was the breaker for this purchase. My daughter has been practicing her trumpet around the house without a mute for some time. When she practice, none of my other kids can practice their instruments because it was so loud. Finally, I bit the bullet and purchase this mute. Now, the house is quieter and everyone can practice...wow, win-win situation for sure:)! For one, this mute can be used as a cup or straight through...awesome! The best part my wife and I think about this mute is that it has helped my daughter's blowing strength because it forces her to blow harder into the trumpet without realizing it. When she actually plays her trumpet without the mute, the sounds are sharp and crisp. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a trumpet mute.

If you need a practice mute get this one
I bought this because I was looking for a good, inexpensive practice and warm-up mute that would fit easily into my case. I was very surprised when I opened the package because the mute was so small. It looked like a pic mute. I decided to give it a try and all I can say is "wow!". It reduces the volume of my trumpet by at least 90%. Like all mutes it does affect intonation and increases resistance, but not nearly as much as I expected. As practice mutes go it is surprisingly free blowing, even more than my expensive Yamaha Silent Brass system. My trumpet playing friends have tried it and are just as surprised and impressed as I am.

Es perfecta, cumple con todas las espectativas e incluso es mejor, cancela casi por completo el sonido, es excelente opciรณn para ensayar, vale la pena, muy recomendada.

I've got five other mutes, including my Yamaha Silent Brass, and I now only use one mute, this one adjustable mute. It really does produce several different sounds. My favourite tone is with the straight piece only in use. The sound is a nice flat tone that I have been trying to get for years using various other mutes. I can't see any more expensive adjustable mutes being better than this so looks like I'll be sticking with this one for a while. Now I've just got to find one for my flugelhorn.

During my extensive career as a professional trumpet player, I have utilized a wide range of mutes. Among these, this particular mute stands out as one of the finest. It offers three distinct modes: straight mute, cup mute, and practice mode. Additionally, the cup mute can be extended to achieve a more mellow tone, essentially providing a fourth mode. The overall quality of this mute is exceptional, making it deserving of a 5-star rating.

The mute seems solid and the sound is very variable moving the cup attachment smoothly up or down. I like the sound and tonal consistency through registers of the straight mute (without cup surround) also!
