Life gets pretty boring when you can beat the snot out of any villain with just one punch. Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problemโhe just canโt seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! Class-S hero King is known as the strongest man on earth. Even monsters fear him. But when a mysterious organization sends an assassin after him, the shocking truth about King is revealed! Review: Greatest Manga Series Ever - Well, by volume 8, I'm convinced. This is possibly the greatest comic series ever written, Japanese or otherwise. Saitama, the One-Punch Man, is a literary response to the ridiculous, melodramatic, and overpowered comic book heroes who came before him. Saitama's friends and enemies spend loads of time powering up and performing over-the-top attacks, as most comic book characters do, but it appears no one in the universe has even bothered to do basic strength training. This volume is especially hilarious as it reveals the secrets behind King's power. It might be the funniest gag yet. Review: buy this now - I can't get enough of One Punch Man. The premise is absurd: a hero who is so powerful that he can take out anyone with one punch. I didn't expect to like it, but I love it. The stories are great and the different hero personalities are fascinating. All these heroes "work" together in a Hero Association, but some of them are not very heroic. Only a few people realize how powerful the main character actually is. Anyway, buy it and read it. Watch the videos.

LOVE IT!
Love the series!! The actual animated show isn't as good as the books (as usual) but this series makes me LOL (literally). I buy the paperback copies because this is a series I definitely want to add to my library!

One Punch Action Comedy Manga
It's hard to find good super hero comedy action manga. The humor and the creative story lines keeps making go back for more. I like the art style and brief episodes and not 6 part story arcs which take too long. I the enjoy the main character is a regular easy going guy with tremendous strength. He doesn't have a big ego but at the same time he wants to simply be a hero and help society. Every Volume has an interesting story. Martial arts, and robot monster pounding action..

Just who is King
One punch man volume 8 is well, a bit more laid back then the past couple of volumes. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of action that the series is known for and there is plenty of comedy. However compared to the sky king arc or the sea king arc it's just not as epic. That being said there are some possible hinting toward future developments. Also for first time readers it might be a bit confusing to jump into the series not that it would to be to hard to piece together. And as with past one punch man volumes a word caution is the series fights can get a little graphic at times.

4.75 Stars
I guess it had to happen -- this is the first volume of One-Punch Man I've given less than five stars. It's just that after the epic battles against the Deep Sea King, and then Lord Boros and his space pirates, this book's main story thread -- S-Class hero King has a secret and is not what he seems -- feels like a diversion or sidelight. Plus the main section is shorter, with "bonus mangas" at the back of the book running 60 pages. Still, lots of fun stuff -- we get another flashback glimpse of Saitama in an early victory, before he lost his hair; Genos battles a robot-inside-a-massive-robot, and we meet the professor who designed his cyborg system (why does he look like a mushroom??); and towards the end we rejoin the main story thread, as a Hero Association official, still anxious about Madame Shibabawa's prophecy, calls an assembly of underworld thugs and villains to recruit them, in addition to the Association's roster of heroes, to defend the earth. But Garo, Silverfang's berserk ex-disciple, is in attendance, as well as Sonic the strange ninja, so things look ready to rock again in the next book ...

One of the best manga series of all time
I don't have much to say, really. One Punch Man continues to be one of the best series that I have ever read, and I hope it continues in volume 9.

I love One-Punch!
I love One-Punch!!! I've read chapters of it here and there in Weekly Shonen Jump and have really wanted to get in on the manga from the beginning. What is there not to love about One-Punch? I think he's so adorable. This is probably first and foremost satire of the shonen genre, but it's done so well it's a great one harkening back to the days of the greats. It's got comedy, action, battles and more battles. We get Saitama's backstory and a wide range of emotions along with his adoring sidekick. Seeds have been sown for the greater story arc. This is good, plain, battle-action fun with its tongue firmly set in the cheek.

spettacolare
trovo questo manga esilarante e con dei buoni disegni. Una storia originale che spero prosegua con questo filo e si concluda come รจ iniziata. Ho visto anche il cartone animato che segue in tutto e per tutto il fumetto

Don't get scared if your manga volume is thinner compared to the other volume of the same series.
At first, I was perplexed as to why my One-Punch Man manga volume 8 was thinner compared to my other One-Punch Man volumes. I was afraid it was fake, but, after a lot of searching in the internet, I found out at that the mangas printed in Italy are quite thinner compared to the ones printed in U.S.A (or) Canada. Usually, the mangas printed in U.S.A (or) Canada are thicker, and the covers are glossier compared to the ones printed in Italy (the case being here - pages are thinner and the covers appear to have less glossier finish to it's USA/Canada counterpart). All of my manga purchases are from sellers Cocoblu Retail and uRead Stores on Amazon. Not even once I have received counterfeit products from them. So, one can blindly go for manga purchases from them.
