good wiring kit
Perfect for my 2000 mustang with the mach 460. Everything wired up and plugged in as expected, not really that complicated. Only strange thing was the rca cables not showing front and rear. There's four rca's. Two left and two right. In the mustang sound system it's actually a mono signal so it doesn't matter. I was pretty stumped on that for a bit. There really isn't much to this product, you can't go wrong. If you have the mach sound system like me you will need a 12v to 5v converter to stop your speakers from popping when you start the car. That was a little confusing to figure out. I just wasn't confident in what I was doing and the directions to that are garbage. Anyway, works great, no quality issues, straight forward product. I'm happy with it.

Trash
Garbage harness. The speaker wires pig tail has loose pins like the other reviews here stated. Will not connect properly. There’s another brand here on Amazon I used and it snapped right in.

Super easy plug-and-play wiring harness
I just got this wiring harness for my 2000 ford mustang with the mach 460 sound system. I had read complaints about the pins in the black plug that connects to the amps not lining up correctly, but for me they worked perfectly on the very first try. Maybe i got lucky, but no complaints from me. The product works exactly as its supposed to and replacing my aging stock headunit which didn't have a working tape player, cd player, and 3 of the radio preset buttons. Heads up, I did have to put on a 5 volt regulator on the amp turn on wire to get rid of the annoying amplifier pop when you first turn on the radio. I didn't realize that it would be a problem until after i had installed everything and ended up having to take it all out and installing a regulator to avoid the issue. Don't be like me, go ahead and do it when you initially assemble the wiring harness. But as for the wiring harness, it works like a charm and I was amazed with how easy it was to just plug and play

Solid Harness
I used this harness for my 93 ford explorer when I installed an aftermarket head unit. The main power connector was good quality, however the connector opposite of the 4 RCA's was a bit finicky. The leads inside were hard to match up with the other connector on the car, used a dental pick to move the leads into place. Once it was connected it worked fantastic.

Exactly what I needed
Easy installation. Plug alignment was a bit weird on the plastic black thingy, though. Not a big deal, just had to push around the pins and mess around with it for a bit.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly. Connects the RCA pre outs to the factory amp depending on your head unit there may be several writes unused on the radio plug. The RCA plugs did seem a little loose by taped the connections and after a month no issues.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER BUY THIS!!!
The most absolute piece of trash ever. I thought the other reviews talking about the pins pushing out where just people being dumb. Nope. The ground pins are all held fine in the connector, its the signal pins that refuse to line up and immediately get pushed out. the only way to get this to work is to pull all the pins from the connector and insert in the factory harness individually. But then you have nothing locking them in. just cut the factory connector and solder your wires. its the only solid way to do this. And let's be honest, if you are looking at this for your radio, you will NEVER reconnect the factory radio anyways.

Perfect
Used to install a JVC head unit in my old ford van to retain the factory amp. Just be careful to get the little pins aligned before pressing the connectors together. Made the install easy. The new radio may sound better if you bypass the factory amp but that is much more work so I like this little adapter harness. I would purchase again.

The connector for the speakers was very flimsy. Did not make adequate connection. Would not recommend this harness adapter as I had to get a scoche to complete the install.

Pins in amp harness are a pain to lineup and insert into factory harness.

This is the perfect fit for a 1997 mustang GT with Mach 460 sound. The sound is perfect!

the pins in the speaker plug are to small and fit loosly, sound kept cutting out, I had to cut the plug and solder the connections

As some other reviewers have mentioned, the black 8 pin connector deisgn is defective - I bought one from Red Wold which seems better but it lacks the RCA plugs. The installation is for a mid 90s Mustang and the connector cannot be fully pushed in to the point where it snaps and locks. The Red Wolf one does but I am still trying to properly solder the RCA jacks on. Other product from Metrus have been ok - it just seems that this one is a problem
