So is the cork portion 3” or 3.75”? Which one?

The cork is 3 and 1/8". You did not ask, but two things about these coasters have disappointed me. They are very attractive, but they break easily. I have marble top end tables, which are slippery, so I have lost three to sliding off the table, hitting my laminate floor, and the part that curves up breaks. They look as though someone took a bite out of them. The other thing is that the tiny felt pads slip, and move, so they no longer sit flat. I hate that because I love the way they look.

Does this product have a California prop 65 warning?

do not know if this comes with prop 65 warning. wasn't able to find it on page so i think you would need to ask manufacturer. i will say that this is a beautiful spoon rest. i have ours next to the stove.

Is it safe to put this on the stove?

Should be fine between the burners, although I do not keep mine on the stove. Great product. Keep it oiled with food safe mineral oil

Does it stain easily ?

hasn't stained at all. the grain looks tight on mine. i haven't used it for either spaghetti sauce or mexican red sauce. i do wipe it off regularly.
