These bulbs look amazing. We had recessed can lights in our living room which I had removed And replaced with antiqued star lights. At first I used regular Edison bulbs which looked beautiful, but these gold dipped Edison bulbs really kicked up the style to a new level. They dim beautifully and the light will not blind you even at full brightly. Highly recommend! My left photo shows a comparison to the non dipped Edison, this is way more stylish.

I purchased both the metallic gold and black - I didn’t even open the blk as the gold was PERFECT! While you lose some of the direct illumination (in my case, direct light is what I was hoping to minimize) the light effect is gorgeous!! The first photo is traditional light bulbs - the second, with the metallic gold - what a stunning difference!

Love the look of these bulbs

We have a floor lamp that has three fixtures that are bell-shaped and only allow light to come straight down. This can be a bit harsh if you are sitting nearby or directly under it. We found that using these dipped bulbs allows only the peripheral light, which makes for a softer glow that is still bright enough to read or work by. The gold color also complimented our lamp as well! These are fantatic if you want more ambient light!

*Update* So I initially gave five stars because it looks beautiful. But a couple of weeks after I installed the bulbs, my very expensive brand new lamp stopped working. Couldn't figure out the issue. Somebody said the bulbs were not compatible with the dimmer switch lamp that I had. If that's the reason it stopped working then it needs to be stated on the website because I paid $400 for the lamp. Exactly what we needed because our lamp has the light bulbs completely exposed and it was so blinding before. Now the light goes just where it needs to. Looks beautiful too. It's more calming.

Bought them in gold as well. They are perfect to add to your light system to be a little different than other peoples lights

I like that they stop the style of Edison bulb from shining in my eyes because of how my vanity light is, they face down.they are beautiful much nicer then regular bulbs. They came well packaged in foam inside a box. They are decently bright too. I have a dark bathroom but these are brighter then the Edison bulbs I had before even with the chrome bottom. They have a cool effect on the ceiling too.

Great for applications where you want to hide the filament from direct view. The dim feature does work without flickering but the intensity can sometimes jump in "steps" instead of being smooth all the way from full bright to dim. These are rated at 2700k but I think they are just a bit cooler than that. I'd love to see these in a 2200 or 2500 temperature.
