Favorite Children's Songs

I purchased these CDs when my daughter was just a baby. It is a great collection of children's songs. I looked at a number of other children's CDs and found this one to be the best. The other CDs I looked at would have the same songs but were sung in a very "cheesy" or "folksy" way. My daughter would get really antsy in the car as a baby but the music would miraculously calm her immediately. The lullabies would soothe her to sleep in the car as well. My daughter is now 2-1/2 years old and now loves to dance to these songs and sing the nursery rhymes. I also found the collection to be a great value. I would definitely recommend it to any parent with young children.

Last month I bought this 3 CD collection for my almost 4 year old daugther. What a great purchase! We listen to it driving and singing like mad in the car. She asks for "Bingo" practically every day. I agree with the reviewer who said that some of the songs are "revised" - a bit jazzy or just slightly more modern - in fact, I think that is what makes the CDs so terrific. If you are looking for music for your little ones that you will also enjoy (singing and dancing together), this is it.

The redentions of some tracks on the "Children's Songs" CD are jazzed up versions . . . more complicated, untraditional rhythms and notes. If you're buying this for a child who already knows these songs by heart, then you may like this. However, if you're looking for recordings so you can teach your child the original versions you're used to, you may want to look elsewhere.

This is an absolutely delightful set of CD's for the two to five year old set... Maybe even older! Great presentation of songs with lots of concepts (ex. Fast/ slow, loud / soft) built in. Upbeat while being pleasant for the adults too. My grand kids love it and so do I.

This is great set with all songs you need for your kids. It's great for toodlers, preschoolers and even older kids. They love to sing along.

I "play" with 3 and 4 year old refugee children at an apt. complex. I've taught them many songs over the years. I was delighted to find the album that included so many of the songs the children have learned. They LOVE singing along with the children in the albums. (I love it because it gives me a chance to "rest my voice." I recommend the set highly.

I love these old familiar songs and so do my children. We all sing along as we watch it together.

Although these songs are not sung in the traditional manner, they are very catchy and fun. Warning: you won't be able to get some of these out of your head.

Pour connaitre déjà certaines chansons sur d'autres CD, je dois dire que je suis déçue de cette compilation de 3 CD. Les musiques sont parfois trop "modernes" pour des enfants et les paroles sont même differentes. L'un des 3 CD "Sing, Dance and Play" a pour moi un gout d'agressif. Trop rapide, trop criard.... En résumé je ne vous le conseille que si vous voulez faire découvrir à votre enfants des sons modernes et des chansons qu'il ne connait pas, sinon bof !
