Is this bright enough to light a large living room?

In my opinion, yes, this lamp is bright enough to light a large room. We do not use the lamp at anything above 50% brightness when on a white light as anything higher than this is too bright.

Light flashing constantly how do I stop this?

Hello, Please unplug the floor lamp, plug it into another wall outlet, and then reconnect the wifi by following the connecting Wi-Fi steps in the instruction manual, the flashing issue will be solved. Thank you.

Can this lamp also illuminate a Cool White ambience
