My daughter's laptop was struggling with some day-to-day tasks. When replacing an SSD that was dying, I noticed that there was only one stick of 8GB RAM. Given the laptop is capable of dual-channel, this meant that, not only was this a bit short on RAM, it wasn't able to take full advantage of its speed. This memory is cheap. Really cheap. 16GB was more than affordable and would help my daughter's laptop not only avoid frequent paging to virtual memory, but give faster access to RAM in the first place. The installation is trivial. Remove a few screws, pop off the back cover, pop out the old RAM, and place in the new. I was done in 10 minutes. The memory works flawlessly, and my daughter's laptop runs much better, particularly with all the tabs she likes to keep open on her browser.

My Lenovo had only 8 GB memory installed so it was time for an upgrade. The problem was finding some that were compatible with the motherboard. This was perfect for it. I went from 8 GB to 16 GB with no problem. Easy to install and there were no hardware problems. Everything booted up the way it was supposed to. In terms of performance, I'm capable of doing more things at once now. Remember that RAM doesn't necessarily make your PC run games faster (that's more GPU and CPU), it just allows for more processing power simultaneously. It does mean that it should be a couple of frames faster, which it is, but I can also do multi-tasking much better without my laptop freezing up, which is what would happen if I tried playing a game while also chatting (Discord, etc) or doing another task. I'm very happy with this purchase! Yes, to confirm, this RAM kit works for a Lenovo z70-80 (80FG model) with Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2 GHz with a Lenovo z70-80 NM-A331 5B20H14183 motherboard. It is also packaged very well. I opened three different bags to get to the sticks. It's good that they take care of the items too! Overall satisfaction!

This review is for, "NVTEK 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3L-1600 PC3-12800 SODIMM Laptop RAM" My MIL gave me her old laptop to see if it could be made at all useful for anything again. It was a top of the line A10 APU, 17" touch screen in its day, so I replaced the spinning platter with an SSD and boosted the RAM from 6GB of much slower ram to 16 GB of 1600 mhz using this kit. The difference is like night and day. APU's needed the fastest RAM they could get since system ram was also video ram and this kit maxes out the clock for this system. I also found it to be very compatible with no issues at all. The laptop is actually quite usable now for basic browsing, productivity & similar tasks.

Didn't have any problems memory is stable

One module was DOA. BECAUSE the packing (second hand at a warehouse) was SOOOOO tight it damaged the chips on the board by breaking solder joints. We NEED robots and AI to do the DELICATE stuff at the warehouse, not an "exotic" crushing the modules into an IMPOSSIBLY tight package. ONE module survived and works well.

Perfect for my computer help me double the capacity of my RAM and ultimately sped up everything that I was doing already. I highly recommend this product for anybody with an older laptop that is like mine that just needed a little extra to make it usable again and you just can't beat the price

Arrived in anti-static bags in a padded envelope inside a padded Amazon envelope. Meets 1333 Mhz speed specs, clipped right into an 11-yr-old Dell Latitude notebook originally shipped with 2Gb. All 16Gb is recognized after a BIOS update. System went from unusable (2Gb RAM with Win 7 was horrifically under-spec'd) to excellent for my medium duty needs: Word processing, spreadsheets, email & web access plus some industry-specific apps. I was given this barely used machine (likely <50 hrs) because it sat in a back room for years. Excruciatingly slow for the lightest documents, emails & short PowerPoints because of insufficient RAM. It has a 2.5 Mhz I5 (dual cpu / 4 core), a 160GB WD Black HDD (being replaced with a 1Tb Samsung Evo) & adequate Intel HD onboard graphics, all still OK for light to moderate use. The graphics chip shares (steals) RAM from primary memory & is the limiting factor overall. Booting up after sufficient RAM was installed shows slightly over 3GB in use with no apps running. Before, the HDD activity LED was on almost constantly as the swap file was in use pretty much all the time. Have to think that there are tons of similar machines sitting in closets, nearly new & unused because they were so slow the least-demanding user found them frustrating. Skimping on RAM was a primary technique employed by mfrs big & small to sell at competitive price points. Baaaad idea. In the Microsoft Windows universe there's practically no such thing as *too much* RAM. These two 8Gb SODIMMs were <$35 delivered. They would have cost substantially more in 2011. But even 8GB would have made those a more tolerable & actually useable computer.

First off, package came IN LESS THAN 24 hours. Out standing. But moving on....For a time I have been trying to find a nice set of RAM sticks for an Alienware Alpha R2 ASM100, for anyone trying to upgrade it still, while I own 2 other Computers I still like this Alpha, comes in handy. These 16gb sticks REALLY make a difference in speed for the i3 versions of the Alpha. Was easy to install, followed another review on here for the other ASM100. And I am here to just double verify and with great happiness say these ram sticks are a perfect fit. No issues. Just be sure to watch a video on youtube if your not fimiliar on how to install them. 5/5. Extremely satisified

Pulled the Ram out of package and put it in the laptop and booted it up and we were good go no hassles at all. A great upgrade for your older laptops gives them a kick in the pants.
