Far Better Than I Expected!!
I've been listening to this system for a little over one month. For MANY years I had used the Boston BA745 2.1 speaker system with my computers. It was a system Gateway supplied with their computers (yes, that was long ago in a computer galaxy far, far away). They finally reached the end: the sub woofer would cut out, the left speaker volume would cut in half, wires had to be jiggled, subwoofer kicked, etc. I researched for months to find replacements. I asked for recommendations on Facebook. I read review after review on the internet. I narrowed it down to either the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX system or the Logitech Z625 THX 2.1 system. I sent Klpisch a question via email...and I'm still waiting for an answer. After a week of waiting, I decided Klipsch didn't want my business, so I ordered the Logitech Z625 THX 2.1 system. I did not think any system would be notably better than the BA745 2.1 system. I couldn't have been more wrong! The first song I listened to on the Logitech Z625 THX 2.1 system was Paul Wilbur's "Worthy." Oh, wow! The bass this system puts out is stunning; I'm hearing low notes the previous speakers NEVER produced. I am hearing instruments on songs I had previously not heard. The improvement is beyond stunning. I have listened to a variety of musical styles and everything sounds amazing (keep in mind that speakers can only produce the quality of the original recording; a cheap recording and a lousy, imbalanced mix down in the studio cannot be overcome by any speaker system). The all around sound is outstanding. The bass has a deep, flowing, intensity instead of a cheap, thumping produced by low-quality, inefficient speakers. MId's and high's are very distinct; as mentioned, I'm hearing instruments - and vocal parts - not previously heard. Setup was extremely easy. Out of the box, the bass level was set slightly past 12:00 and I have not changed it (I thought I might have to turn it up, but it is excellent at the present setting). The volume can be turned up LOUD!! I haven't turned it up past 11:00, at that has been plenty (I usually have it about 9:00 or lower). I have no doubt this system would be very adequate for any sized room in a house. This system cost more than I had hoped to spend but compared to numerous other systems, this one is worth it. I highly recommend the Logitech Z625 THX 2.1 system to anyone shopping for computer speakers.

Bought a 2nd set, Great for the price, can run 2 sources
I had a set of these for years and was very happy with them. The bass is rich and punchy and well balanced and the controls are great. After years of abuse I ruined the cable connections because I kept pushing against them with my foot while scooting a heavy recliner back, not realizing I was pushing directly against the cord connections. I'm honestly surprised they lasted that long considering what I was doing to them. My dogs would also use the subwoofer as a stand to look out the window. I'm not sure why but I replaced them with set of slightly cheaper speakers, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX set for $120, which many reviews assured me were great for the price and "punched above their weight." Neither was true. It's an understatement to say I was disappointed by them. The controls were awful and incapable of fine adjustment. The sound was muddy with no mids and the bass lacked that punch & definition that I loved in the Logitechs. After a couple months I got sick of them and decided to just eat the $120 and treat myself to another Logitech Z625 set. So worth it. I glued a 2x4 to the back of the subwoofer so that I won't damage them the way I did my last set. Great speakers. But my new favorite thing about them that I didn't even realize when I bought them is that they can play from the optical input and the 2.5mm stereo input simultaneously. This is huge for me because I have a personal desktop and a work desktop at the same desk and use a HDMI and peripheral switch to alternate between them. Previously I also needed an audio switch and I've already spent around $100 on switches having broken 3 of them because of their terrible plug designs. Not only will that not be a problem anymore, but I'll be able to hear my Zoom phone ring on my work PC even while using my personal PC. That's a big extra win for me and makes me like them even more than I did my last set.

Gets loud and lots of bass response
I was hesitant to try Logitech speakers, my keyboard and mouse are Logitech and I wouldn't buy another brand keyboard or mouse but I was becoming frustrated with PC speaker sets and saw that this one is THX certified. It's kind of humorous to audio fans, I bought this for the higher power rating, with the belief that it would be nice and warm at a low volume. It's how I prefer music to be played in my home office. I didn't buy them to knock my puppy across the office or to make the windows pop out of the house. The good news, they're quite loud if you turn them up. The bad news, the sound is muffled at low volumes. I'm guessing these are designed to be cranked up. I'll still give them a good rating as said, they're loud and clear when turned up. They remind me of the earliest car stereos I put together for myself. They sound good but the bass will overpower everything if you're not careful. I equalized them with my Asus Xonar sound card software but it felt more like an all or nothing mission with the bass. I will add that I looked at a set just like this one a few years ago on Amazon but they were quite a bit higher than these (price). And on that note, if you're looking for loud at a good price, these will make you very happy. If you're looking for a warm, balanced sound at low volume, these will give you a lot of bass and little else. The set is very good quality, the satellites are solid and a good size for putting on a desk. The subwoofer's build quality is excellent, as its bass response (punchy, low and rumbling, deep and pounding) it does them all. Everything hooks up easily, too. It's just a case of too much sound for what I was looking for.

Very good customer support for these speakers
I purchased these in March 2025 and here I am in October writing the review. I prefer to give myself plenty of time to use a product before writing my reviews. First, these speakers do exactly what I need them to do. When I use my computer to watch some videos or play a game, they provide satisfying sound quality. About a month ago, I started hearing a humming sound from the two side speakers. Nothing terrible, but noticeable when there were pauses in game and video sounds. I reached out to Logitech via there website chat feature. After minimal wait, a service rep started working with me to troubleshoot the problem. She was unable to resolve my problem so she asked me to send a short video of the issue and a picture of the serial number, which I did. About a week later, I was asked to provide my address to continue the warranty process. To my surprise, I later received a new set of speakers, approximately two weeks after my initial shout out to Logitech. I think this says a lot about Logitech. I suspect many of you, like me, have had some frustrating experiences with companies refusing to honor their warranty. What I've discovered is Logitech is NOT one of those companies. They stand by their warranty. In case someone at Logitech reads this, thank you very much for providing very good customer support for these speakers!

Looks and sounds good but it's garbage, weak. But not anymore.
I bought these speakers because i still have my Logitech THX Z5500 and that thing is the best beast, still working till today, I did modify the speakers and damn it's good. Now with this z625, I turned up the volume more than half and it died. I can assure it's not my fault. Maybe it's a fuse? I don't know, can't find on the manual. Garbage it goes. (No, not with me.) One day later: there was no power to the main speaker. I took the subwoofer out, fairly simple, there is two fuses, but they were good. Investigate more and found a connection that wasn't properly done. This connection came from the main board to the connections on the back where you connect everything else. I think it was just a slip on the assembly, even had the red dye over it. Maybe when I put the volume up, vibration, moved the connection. All good now and tested. 3/13/2026 I am returning in. Don't need money back or new set up. Its dead. Cant go more than half of volume, even that it sounds super nice, it just die again. UPDATE: Took everything apart again. I already knew it was a bad connection, but this time i took a better look on why it happen again. I guess assembly mistake, it can happen. Its permanent fixed now. Update...after all the work, it does works, it cuts off when too loud to protect board, sound is great. Update, still working after a few weeks. One star for my troubleshoot with no help....but the system is good, i would recommend it.
