I paid 48.99 for these buckets on may 28, 2021. Now they cost almost 68 buck. Why such a huge price increase in 3 months?

Plastics are made of oil. I’m sure you’ve noticed the prices pertaining to that along with all the other inflation.

I wanted to confirm that these five gallon buckets have a gasket/o rings?

Their included lids DO have black 'O' rings within their lips, for watertight/airtight/insect-proof sealing.

Can you use these for flour and sugar?

Absolutely! You can either just pour the flour or sugar into it; or, place a liner inside and then add the food component. We personally use the liner and add packets to eliminate moisture.

Is there some kind of permanent warning label on these that isn't showing up on the pictures?

YES (disregard any other answer(s) to the contrary)! They DO have an indelible, vertical black warning on one side, regarding child-safety.
