Not good quality
The original came used missing parts and the replacement came broken. The replacement the key pads had already fallen off upon arrival.

Build quality felt fine- severely out of tune
I used a tuner and tried to get this to play in tune for hours: it just has an inconsistent tune quality. Not in tune. Maybe a good starter horn for a elementary or middle school player

A cheap soprano sax that plays in tune!
Finally a cheap soprano that plays in tune! (This review is for the STRAIGHT soprano, not the curved one.) I had already owned a cheap soprano that played amazingly, and I was looking for another one to use as a backup and to loan to students. I bought several other cheap sopranos online that played horribly out of tune before I finally found this brand. This soprano looks to be made in the the same factory as the good cheap soprano I have that plays great. I believe both of these good ones are from the Taishan factory. Some of the other cheap horns I tried were as much as 40+ cents out of tune in the upper register (A through C), but this Eastrock/Taishan straight soprano is actually in tune! I might need to buy a third one! See my video for a quick demo.

Stopped playing correctly after about a month of use. We are now out of our return window or we would return for a refund.

Lovely Soprano Saxophone!
Update -I was having some issues after getting used to the Sax - which we all know takes a few weeks as each piece is unique. But there seems to be a seal problem and some leakage. Which means the sound is compromised. The black finish on this Soprano Saxophone is quiet lovely and honestly I wish mine featured such a finish when I was younger! There are lovely details as well. Excellent Hard case molded to fit the Saxophone perfectly. Decent Weight Good Sound This is a great starter Saxophone, but when compared to a professional Yamaha this one does fall flat that hopefully you will eventually upgrade to this one is certainly a starter sax.
