Godefroy Hair Color Tint Kit, Medium Brown, 20 Applications, Root Touch-Up

Set your fears (and gray eyebrows) aside. This product will take years off your face if, like me, your brows are sparkling with gray hair. I researched and read many reviews before selecting this product. I also need to thank other Amazoners who shared their wisdom in thier reviews. But their cautions had me so fearful I almost did not proceed. But hating my gray brows gave me the courage to try. So glad I did. My experience was uniformly great and I did not suffer any of the troubles or downsides reported by others. Just lucky I guess. Here is what I did.I wet a wash cloth with water and gave my brows a bit of a scrub. Patted the area dry. Took a picture of my before brow just in case the change was too subtle to notice (insert chuckle here since I know how this turned out). I mixed up the potion in a little cup used for serving boiled eggs. I first used a toothpick for stirring and finished up using the spiral brush included with the packet.I was a bit timid on the first eyebrow. I used just a little product and applied it with the slant brush. I was trying to keep it off my skin for fear of staining so I tried to get product just on the brow hair. I left on for two minutes and took it off with a wet, round, cotton, cosmetic pad. It came off easily with no staining.On the second brow I gooped on more product using the spiral brush and then smoothed it out with the slant brush. This time I smeared it on in the shape of my brow down to the skin. Again I took it off after two minutes. Better coverage using more product and applying it with the goop/smooth/smear technique.I decided I wanted a bit more color so I did it again on both brows. End result was excellent coverage with deep pigmentation. I had no staining and no stinging. The results are really amazing. Truthfully an instant improvement and no I did not need to compare a before and after photo to tell the difference. It was happily obvious.The most important thing I want to impart to other users is to wait longer than I did before applying the product a second time. The color still deepened after I removed it with the wet cotton pad. I may not have needed the second coat.Similar to the observations of others, I will note that the medium brown is very dark. Two coats of it is very dark indeed. I have ordered the lighter shade which I will experiment with next time. Even though my finished brows after two coats was darker than intended, I have absolutely no regrets. Funny how such a small thing changed the appearance of my face. I was paying to have my brows colored but no more. I can do just as well at home for far less money.Lastly, there is enough product from a single capsule to do the brows of several people. Gather up some friends with similar hair color and have a brow party, but no drinking until you are done!

I used to pay about $25 every month or so to get my brows professionally tinted. What a waste of money!! This tinting kit is so easy to use and looks great - I can get exactly the shade I want. There are some reviews on here that have great advice - so I would follow them mostly. However, some recommend using petroleum jelly around the brows, and I felt it didn't help much and just made a mess, so I don't do that. I have blonde brows and put the tint on for about 2 minutes on the first brow, then wipe it clean with a wet tissue. I let that one sit (to continue tinting a little) while I do the second side. Then wipe that one with a wet tissue. On the first one I then wash with soap and water to make sure it doesn't keep tinting, then after about 2 minutes I wash the 2nd side with soap and water. And voila! Done. Perfecto!! I get about 2-3 tints from each capsule. Oh, and I have really sensitive skin, and this doesn't irritate at all. I do get a little tinting on the skin - not noticeable to anyone but me, I'm sure. It washes off pretty much on the next shower. So I usually tint on Saturday afternoon, so I have a little time to 'normalize.' This product is GREAT!

Tried so many different ones. Nothing beats the color and how long this one lasts. I love it. It will never turn reddish, or lose its real color. It just washes off as you wash your face, but it’s normal. It does fill in a bit where hairs are missing. It’s gentle on sensitive skin. No rashes. No redness, no bad smells. Easy to remove from skin if you clean up with a cotton swab as you apply to the eyebrows or hair line. I cover my grays along my hairline with this as well and that ties it all together with the eyebrows. I have platinum blonde highlights and this looks great. People always ask if I got microblading done. 😉 buying more in case they ever discontinue, hopefully never!! Not even my hair stylist can get this perfect medium brown shade I use without fading after a few washes!Great quality hair product. Background:I originally purchased the Dark Brown shade, and while it darkened my brows, it was a little cool for my skin tone. Note that my skin is caramel brown, with lots of yellow/orange undertones. Even though I had a lot left, I ordered the Medium Brown because I thought it might be a warmer shade. In the end, I was happy with the result and it looks much better to me. You can get just as dark, it only takes a bit more processing time compared to the other shade.Before reviewing the product itself, I have to say that my brows are naturally sparse *and* lighter than what I would prefer. I can shape them perfectly, but still have to fill them in every day to look like I have brows. On top of that, even one shed hair looks like a bald spot until it grows back in. I purchased this product to save time in the morning.Application:You mix equal parts of the dye and developer, then apply with the brush that was included in the box. Directions say to put Vaseline around your brows before application, but it's really not necessary if you're used to filling in your brows. If you make a mistake, just wipe the spot away before it sets. Note that you only need to use about 1/3 of a gel cap per application, so this box should last a while. These are a bit hard to open, though, so I transfer the powder to my own empty gel cap. That way, I don't have to worry about spilling anything. Once mixed, I apply the dye in stages.I do a quick once over to get a starting point (~1min processing time). In doing this, I feel like it looks more natural to start at the outer edges, then slowly work my way in. I don't apply anything to the inner edges until later. The 2nd application is to perfect the shape and fill in any spots that didn't take (30-45 sec processing time). I keep applying/re-applying until the dye looks even and natural. From there, I let it sit until I feel like wiping it off. Don't be afraid if it looks dark. The total process is around 7-10 minutes (from mixing to cleanup) since I take my time with the application.Results:The color will gradually fade over time. I shoot to go darker since it'll lighten up when I wash my face in the morning. From here, your results will vary based on what your natural brows are like. For example, I've said that my brows are very sparse. The results look amazing on me for the first 3 days or so because the skin is also stained under the hair. As that fades, I have to start filling in any bare spots even though the hair is still darker. It's about 2 weeks for me until the hair color is faded as well. If you have fuller brows, it'll probably last longer until you need to re-apply. I'd imagine that it's also dependent on how often you're washing/exfoliating your face (and with what).Even with this timeline, the box has enough dye to easily last me a year. I'm very happy with the results because a few minutes at night lets me not bother at all for a few days with my brows. As it fades, it's still less time spent until the color wears completely. I will definitely continue to use this dye, especially before trips/sleepovers when I wouldn't have access to makeup or a good mirror. I think it'd also work well in swim season, when your brow product would wash right off.

Great product, excellent results! For years my hair dresser has tinted my eyebrows during my monthly hair color appointments. Within about 2 weeks, the eyebrow tint is gone from grow out and I spend another 2 weeks waiting for my next appointment to get them dyed again. I was nervous about trying this product at home after reading some of the reviews, but it turned out to be no big deal. I've used it twice now. You mix it, brush it on, and wash it off after about a minute or so. The whole process is quick and easy. It hasn't stained my skin. The first time I used the tint, I only left it on about 30 seconds. I rinsed it off with water and a washcloth but found that the color continued to develop. The darker my eyebrows got, the more satisfied I was with how my overall face looked. The second time I used it, I went ahead and left it on for at least a full minute. I wasn't even keeping track because while the color was on, I spent that time cleaning up the mixing bowl and brush and putting everything in the box and back under the sink. I rinsed with soap and water to make sure I removed all of the product and I am extremely happy with the results. Takes less than 5 minutes start to finish. I have blond hair and blue eyes, but my natural eyebrow color is light reddish brown and they would look barely there without tinting. The medium brown of this product makes my blue eyes stand out beautifully and I don't look like I'm all forehead and no eyebrows.

Love this so much! I kind of want to buy several and stash them in case everyone realizes how great it is and they become scarce. One package lasts so long! Buy it now!

The effectiveness of this tinting product is excellent and the kit is thorough. But, the medium brown seems to have black in it and the areas I touched up covered the gray, but they appear very dark. I probably need a light brown or an ash blonde shade. I don’t know if the company exchanges already opened packages. I have only used one capsule. Thanks!

Works great for brows! Easy to use, just mix capsule powder and activator in little (provided) cup, stir together, apply, and leave on for up to 2 minutes and then wipe and pat off any excess quickly following with a wet paper towel. Medium brown is pretty dark so I would leave it on for 30sec-I minute at most for your first application as you can always put it on for a second round of 30 seconds or whatever to deepen the color to your liking. It has all the little tools you probably need, however I highly suggest you have some of those little spoolie brow brushes you can get for free at Sephora or buy some at the drugstore. This part is a must in my opinion. Worst thing that can happen to you is that you leave it on too long and then you might have a laugh at how dark your brows look if you weren’t going for that look, but it simmers down in color after a few days, lol, it’s not permanent. Just use face cleaner immediately following to wash off any excess. Having your damp paper towel ready to stop the color processing from continuing is easy and straightforward. Not a big deal, and the whole process leaves little room for error as it is very simple to use. Try light brown first if you are concerned. Wash off your tools and little bowl immediately after, and bam, there you have it!

So I have to say I’m super happy I ordered this. It took a bit to get here but I have never used a brow henna this good. Easy to use and it’s like the perfect colour. It’s a medium brown I got and it’s perfect. Seriously try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

This is probably the best dye I have ever used. Really easy to apply and it did not irritate my skin like most other products do. Will be using this product from now on.

Although the box doesn't specify about eyebrow tinting, it is perfect for it! I highly recommend this product for eyebrow tinting! It's not too dark and very easy to apply. The only thing is I wish it lasted longer. I assume that is because it is mainly for hair tinting but it tints the skin under the eyebrow too.
