This filter works well and has a very good lifespan. Relatively easy to install.

At first I had difficulty installing because I didn’t realize that there were two shut off valves. The housing for the filter wouldn’t turn until I realized that there was a second valve under my sink which needed to be turned off. After that, installing was a snap!

I'm a boat mechanic and many boats use this filter. I have never had a problem replacing them but I have removed many threaded nipples that broke off when the customers went to replace the filter themselves. They filter the water great. How often you need to replace them is determined by how bad your water is. You should replace at least every 6 months anyway. ( I replace mine more often then necessary). It has a small nipple so be gentle and don't over tighten, that's all.

I have been using these water filter (3M AP 217) for more than 3 years and was completely satisfied. Last week when I replaced the under sink filter the results were problematic. Black sludgey water filled the water lines and clogged the faucet. After running the water for over 5 minute black water continued and the water pressure was still only a trickle. After cleaning the line & faucet I noticed the faucet was clogged with black charcoal. I repeated the test with the second filter from the 2 pack box yielding the same results. Worked with Amazon Customer Service and issue was resolved Updating review from 2 to 4 stars

Great filters! We stopped buying bottled water after starting using them about 10 years ago. I have been using these filters for a cold water side of my kitchen sink and an ice maker and they always produce great testing water and fresh ice. Yes, you have to be somewhat careful while replacing them and change them at least every six month, but aside from that I don't have any other concerns. The price is good as well.

I have used this water filter before under the kitchen sink. It usually comes with a time strip so you can easily see when you need to replace it - when the red marker travels all the way up to the top of the time strip. This time, each of two filters arrived WITHOUT the time strip. I wish someone would mail me two time strips. It would make the deal perfect.

Best replacement filters with a reasonable price. Easy to install and the water if you cool it a bit is better than bottled water. Let it ran for 3 minutes before you use it.

The filter does a great job of cleaning the water. Yay!!! Changing the filter is always a problem though. We dread it. Very difficult. Even for the plumber who originally installed the system, and several handymen, family & friends who have tried to help. The system is difficult to open. The filter has a very fragile tip to be screwed into the system. The filters aren't cheap. Nor easy to find. Only one store about 1/2 hour away from me carries it. Lucky to find it online. But I have had to throw out about 10 filters over the last 5 years just because of the tip breaking when replacing the filter. If you don't tighten it enough, water leaks. If you tighten it too much, it breaks. Way too fragile and delicate. I'm sure they could improve it. But why should they? They make more money this way as you have to purchase more filters. The reason I get a box of two units is because I have to plan on at least one of them breaking. And when the tip breaks off inside the system, which is what happens, it becomes an almost impossible challenge to get it out. You can count on 1 to 2 hours of time involved. I would consider another system if it is easier to change the filter. And to avoid the cost of throwing away broken filters.

Works great as an RO polishing filter. Takes all the rubbery RO tank taste out of the water. Filters seem to last a really long time. Easy install.

Replacement cartridge.. Always had to buy through my plumber. Glad to find it on line.

I liked the product overall. No problems. Produced excellent results. As Advertised!

I wish more was filtered out by them.

For some reason, it seemed to be easier to install this time compared to the previous one which was bought a year ago.
