I’ve had a few of these things. Earlier models had nickel chemistry non-replaceable batteries and they didn’t last. Next came lithium rechargeable but not usb, and charger wasn’t great. This one is the best! Keeps charge a long time and controls are higher quality.

Unfortunately I really wanted to like this product it feels nice and solid built like it can take a beating and still work but I guess the looks of the outside doesn't reflect the quality of the wiring inside. I never got a chance to use my flashlight my cat knocked it off my shelf that it was on it didn't fall very far Maybe a foot and a half 2 ft maximum onto carpet somehow the impact must of shook in the internal wiring loose to where it shorted out on the inside it will not stun anything the flashlight does not work and it will not charge anymore I highly recommend finding a different product other than this one because if it cannot even survive a 2 ft fall onto carpet it will not hold up very well if you need it for a self-defense situation

works well no problems. no instructions in or on paccaging. no probling it out. would like to order a holster, but no websight to order from.

This is not the first Guard Dog product I have bought and won't be the last. This light is really bright and the battery life indicator is great. I got so I could carry when taking walks

When I first got this I plugged it in to charge. The lights went down instead of up. Unplugged and plugged back in and seemed to be working and indicators showed it was down. Unplugged and it was still not fully charged. There is a master button which is good, but hard to tell which buttons do what, especially if u need to use quickly. Also the flashlight turns on automatically any time the stun button is pushed. Will return the first one and try another or get a refund. Only plus is that the flashlight is good and the stun is concealed. Other than that this is over priced.

Replacement battery is not available from Guard Dog, neither do they suggest other options for battery replacement. Other than that, it is a great purchase (until the battery dies)!

The battery supplied with the flashlight is too small. It doesn't have proper contact with the internal contacts. It is too loose. I bought a differant battery and it works better but is still loose. So I'm looking for another replacement. Looks to me that the company is supplying cheaper batteries that the light was not designed for to make a bigger profit. Anyway it works intermittently.
