JBM Skateboard Helmet - Lightweight, Adjustable & Ventilated Helmet for Scooter, Roller Skate, Inline Skate

The helmet is very light weight, has a low profile, It appears to be sturdy and well made. Its design allows for good airflow which makes it nice and cool to wear. I have a 22.5 inch head so I purchased the large and it fits perfectly. To cinch it down a little front to back I will only turn the adjustment knob maybe 3 or 4 clicks max. If you have a head circumference greater than even 23" or above I would get an XL Helmet in this brand. I research everything for days before I make a purchase of these types of products. This helmet is made to take multiple hits and still provide adequate protection. I'm using it as a bump helmet so I am not expecting to take any hard hits but I want that protection just in case and I want my helmet to remain in place during multiple hits and take that punishment. There are some helmets you can spend a lot more or a little less money and get something sort of comparable. Of all the research I've done even helmets costing $50 more did not exceed this products protective capabilities. Those spending less, well you get what you pay for. Regardless having a helmet not fitting properly can be just as bad as not wearing one. That is why I will only buy helmets that fit properly with adjustability on the fly. Buy It!

EDIT - So good we bought a second one. Great helmet for growing kids and various activities simple , good quality helmet for kids. I would say it runs a little smaller than expected based on the measurements taken. BUT I wouldn't let that steer you away from this helmet. it is well constructed, and the foam is held securely in place (vs so many of the big box store helmets we tried, the foam was already shifting or coming loose) These helmets have a suspension in them, similar to a hard hat or helmets that are much more expensive. This allows the helmet to breathe well on their head, and also helps with impact protection. One of the big pluses of this system is that it uses a size adjuster (adjusted with rotary knob on the back of the helmet). This allows the helmet to be adjusted up or down and provide a wide range of fit. It also means that when adjusted properly the helmet sits quite securely on your child's head. so even if the strap is slightly loose the helmet is held securely in place. GREAT FEATURE!

First purchase for oldest son: Bought this for my son who is 10 years old and it fits great! Got him a size medium (his head measurement around was 20.2”) Love the turn knob to adjust the size as he grows bigger. The matte blue is exactly what it looks like in the picture! Would definitely recommend! Second purchase for youngest son: Well made helmet! Bought the red one for our 4 year old who outgrew his paw patrol helmet (which he absolutely loved) Red is his favorite color, just like his favorite paw patrol Marshall! I love the adjustable knob on the back of the helmet to keep it snug as he grows. I bough the small one and it was a great choice in size. Also prior to buying I picked out the size and color and noticed on the listing there was a better price offer. The normal price was $25.99 however right under the listing I noticed it says “New & used” I clicked on it a seen there was the same size and color helmet the was “used- Very good condition. Packaging is damaged” for $10.99!! I bought it and the helmet was brand new. Even if it came with a fewer scuffs on it I still would have been happy since my boy will be rough with it some time. Great price and very well made helmet! I recommend:)

Good helmet for the price. We use this for ice skating (figure skating, not hockey), and it has already done its job a few times! It's provided protection against a couple of good collisions with the ice and one header into the boards already, and not even a scratch on it. (Or on my daughter, thankfully!) It is slightly too big on my 6 year old, and is a bit hard to adjust so that it fits correctly and is still comfortable. We finally managed to get it tight enough so I am satisfied and my daughter will still wear it without whining about the chin strap. I wish it came with extra padding or with some adjustable strap on the inside to fit their heads better, though. Maybe that would create a safety issue, though, who knows. The fit seems good when adjusted correctly, as it provides good protection for the back and sides of the head. The forehead is a little high, but the helmet sticks out enough that it provides a bit of protection for the face. For sports where helmets are a necessity, this is a good one!

I bought this helmet when I started learning out to roller skate outdoors. I had a few small taps here and there, but I took a nasty spill trying to drop in on a quarter pipe ramp. I washed out immediately and fell almost flat on my back, hitting the back of my head in the process. My head hurt a little, but it could have been so much worse without a helmet! The inner foam didn't crack, and neither did my skull. This is a great helmet for beginners, especially if you're not sure if you're going to continue the activity long term or not. Here are my gripes: - I sweat a lot and this helmet does not help with keeping sweat out of your eyes (like the triple 8 sweat saver helmets) - After wearing for a couple of hours, my head would become sensitive where the padding touched. Seems like the shape was wider than my head, or my head is more oblong than the helmet shape lol! I tried on my boyfriend's Triple 8 helmet and it was more comfortable than the JBM - The chin strap has to be tightened after each use, sometimes mid session. I'm a new skater, so this may be a common thing with helmets. - The liner on the pads peeled off after two uses (but I do sweat a lot)

Love the red color and the adjustable straps. Daughter uses it for skateboarding. Her only complaint is it is a little bulkier then she thought it would be. However, no complaints from me with the extra padding and protection.

Definitely worth it. My teen son uses it with his electric bike. Lightweight, simple look.

I bought this helmet in the first place to prevent any head concussions when I skateboarded. Recently i had put soft wheels on my skateboard and started downhill riding. I fell and fallen but I never really used this helmet when falling…(I hit my knees, wrists, and elbows but not really my head) Until recently, I was skating downhill going around some speed and it was a really windy day. So the board began getting minor speed wobble but I hate speed wobble so I had a great idea to jump off the board. I stepped off but I was going way to fast to carry myself so I had an instinct to jump down and roll over. I felt the roll and it felt like a roller coaster I couldn’t see a thing. At the end I did get a wound on my arm, but I felt my head tumbling and biting the pavement. My whole body was affected but the trauma of the accident stayed for a bit. Maybe I could of gotten my head injured but I’m not sure, it didn’t happened and I felt like I had to give credit to the helmet for saving my health. I really recommend wearing a helmet. At first it feels like everyone’s watching you and judging, but eventually you forget your even wearing one.

Had these helmets now since Xmas. lightweight but very well built so ideal for kids and adults alike. Come with there own drawstring bag which is ideal for storage. Like i said we wrr now a month in to using them and youngest has fallen a couple of times without causing herself any damage unlike many on the market these days this helmet fits snugly and will arrest a fall. Hence the reason I have given this helmet a five out of five.

I think I chosen the wrong size, the adult one is too big for me, maybe it very fit for my boyfriend. Anyway, my friend thought I spent 40 or 50 pounds for this helmet hahah. Just the silver very easy has nick.
