What is the saute function like? I have an insta pot and the saute is a little too hot and food stucks to the bottom of the pan

Thank you for contacting Aroma Housewares. The sauté-then-simmer function is meant for browning. When using the sauté function the lid does have to remain open and you do have to be stirring the food content simultaneously to prevent over-cooking and sticking. How do I clean the burner inside after it looks burnt? I was able to clean some of it with a sponge but I can’t get the rest clean.

Thank you for contacting Aroma Housewares. You can use an abrasive sponge with a slight amount of soap or you can also use a Mr. Clean magic eraser. When cleaning the heating element of the unit always make sure the unit is off and unplugged. I recently purchased this cooker.  i read the instructions and followed them to a t.  the rice came out like mush.  any suggestions?

If your rice was mushy, its obvious you used to much water.
Use the measure that came with the unit. for every full measure of rice the water you need will be the same mark on the metal container.
First rinse the rice 2 times. Add the water you need first to the container so you can see the lines on the side. then add the rinsed rice. turn the unit on press white or brown rice. after it is done open the lid if the rice is how you like it enjoy, if not stir the rice close the lid, give it about 5 mins.
