everything connected right, not working, why?

Have to make sure it is turned on, and not in pass through mode. No easy to tell. And it is tempermental. See if the red light is on, and make sure all connections are secure. Took me a while to get things working. And it will stop if it is bumped or moved. Very annoying to be honest. I got it working and made sure it was where it wouldn't be touched, bumped, or moved.

Yes, you connect the HDMI from your Bluray to the HDMI "IN" port and you have on the other side a toslink sound "OUT" connection for your sound player and a HDMI video "OUT" connection for your TV or video device.
