The upshifts are kind of slow and you have to push the lever just right. Otherwise it all works fine.

Does not work with Shimano standard (4.35mm pitch*) Freewheels or Cassettes. This set is made for Freewheels with the older 5mm pitch. Interesting, because I have not seen a 9 speed Freewheel with 5mm pitch, so not sure why this exists. *Pitch is the spacing between gears on the Freewheel/Cassette

Works great really does pretty smooth operation but it doesn’t go tall enough for me to have a 4242 two bracket on the back. I’m currently waiting for an extension. I don’t know how to get out of it.

Works great looks great for the price its excellent, only complaint my original had a spring attachment so you can move the derailer far back to remove the wheel, this one doesn't move out of the way and you have to remove it to take off the rear tire

The derailleur will not shift to the smallest cog. The H and L limit screws are short, so they are functionless. Spring is not strong enough to pull the derailleur towards smaller cogs by one shift lever click. The device appears as very cheap made. Amazon accepted my request for a return.

Was optimistic after reading the other reviews, great price and good promises. Arrived quickly was in good shape, easily installed and took a bit to tune (more than other derailleurs) but got it. Worked great for 1 ride. Then started going out of tune - skipping gears, phantom shifting and etc. Tuned it again and it worked for half a ride. Tuned it again and worked for a quarter ride and then I just got used to skipping problem gears. Then eventually it locked up solid and I took it off to see what was wrong. Back to the cheap construction: it had been bending all along (why it was out of tune so much) and this time the cage itself just bend over and thats what jammed the chain. So ya. Its great if you want something cost effective to put on but not so good if you actually want to use it to ride. Put back on my old derailleur (shimano acera) and it works so much better now, even with the cog wheels worn right to nothing. On the plus side, the bar shifter and cable provided havent broken yet. Not bothering to return as those parts work and its a "told myself so" lesson on trying a cheap derailleur. 2 stars cause, really what did I expect would happen?
