This was a fantastic price compared to the other safety whistles I priced. I love that we got 6 in a pack because my husband, son, & I can each have one on our kayak life jackets & also on our hiking packs. These are very shrill & annoying & loud which is exactly what you want in a safety whistle! HAHA The bungees make them handy to attach to any pack or vest & cinch up so the whistle is near your mouth. I think it would be easy to find in an emergency. I hope I never have to actually use it, but I feel better knowing that we have them!

Get lost, easy at 5 and 7, blow the whistle. Help comes. But if really lost shout and crying kill the noise a child can make. Not the whistle. Works as long as there is breath. No problem to teach a kid to use it either. >.. The lanyard is bright orange and braided with reflective material, easy to see, even a piece, day and night. DOES NOT GLOW IN THE DARK, but will reflect any light that hits it. >.. The whistle has a distinct sound, sounds like a whistle, but not a common one. Likely to be overused by young children in fun, but that's the role of the parent to train in proper use, not just play. >.. These could be used in a big or busy park, camp ground, fair grounds, etc. Where separation from parent is possible, these whistles can save lives and a lot of anxiety.

I purchased these for multiple purposes. 1) Car Emergency bag. Allows you grab people's attention who you with to any on coming danger while stranded on the side of the road. 2) Bugout bags - communication device. Well-built and are loud.

These were the right price. We are wearing them as a political statement in solidarity with the anti-ICE movement in Chicago.

The clip, the reflective lanyard, and weight are all pluses, but it takes more energy than expected to get the volume up. The whistle could be improved.

I use this as an added safety item. I have it in my pocket for off road cycling. on my life jacket kayaking and in my jacket for hiking. Too easy to carry and inexpensive NOT to bring along. Also nice if the dogs get a little further ahead than I like....the sound carries nicely to call them back, Hopefully I will never have to use it for an emergency. But so many of my travels take me out of cell phone service. it is a great simple item to carry.

Well they whistled!!! Great product and inexpensive if you lose or break one. No issues at all.

I never really bothered using these when SCUBA diving. But on a dive last year we found ourselves surfacing a kilometre away from our dive boat thanks to an inattentive boat captain. One of these safety whistles would have saved us a long surface swim. As much as I dislike carrying superfluous gear when diving I now have one of these on every dive. The lanyard is long. Whistles work OK. Six should last me a lifetime. Was well priced.
