Crayon Shinchan features a pint-sized terror who is a rude little dude that stands back-to-back with such contemporaries as the kids of South Park. So be warned, this hilarious romp isn't for children; instead, Crayon Shinchan is an adult, tongue-in-cheek poke at modern domestic life. Crayon Shinchan is an international cultural phenomenon and one of the best-selling Japanese manga franchises of all time. The animated version previously aired on Adult Swim and is back in print! Now readers can enjoy it from the beginning in a new, consolidated format made up of three volumes. Review: Watched the shows, read the book. - I love Shin. These are of course more like the subtitled Japanese eps then the funimation eps, but he's more wild in the comics so its the same Shin... but you can tell the difference. It's written by Yoshito, it's the OG true Shinchan. Good read, nice to finally see these. I totally prefer the show. I prefer the original eps but am a fan of funimation eps as well. I think I will give it five anyway. This is a younger Bart Simpson , so he can actually get away with more. The kinds of things only the crazy the truly creepy or a young kid can get away with. No that he gets away with things with his mom, but he really is too young to know just how bad he is being. This is just an awesome series overall and these are just behind the shows in being awesome! Review: love his hilarious hijinks - I'm a big fan of the shinchan comics, love his hilarious hijinks. Have got to mention the frequency of homophobic/transmisogynistic humor, you can basically guarantee one or more of these types of gags per book. Obviously shin doesn't exist to be a shining pinnacle of feminist achievement, but some how these gags still stand out as bad taste.

Naughty and Funny
Shin Chan is the Japanese version of Bart Simpson. I noticed though that the dialogue is funnier in the vernacular. I have this opinion that something is lost in the translation to English.
