Works as advertised
I had a single switch controlling two ceiling fixtures and I wanted to add another switch on the opposite end of the room without tearing out my drywall ceiling, running surface mounted conduit on block walls, or fishing wires to wire a new three-way circuit. This kit was a great solution. I was honestly a bit skeptical that the remote switches would work reliably without batteries to supply power to the RF transmitter, but they function flawlessly. Installation was extremely easy, although I had some weird old existing wiring and fixtures to contend with. Included plates made for a professional looking install. Since I wasn't clear on this until I actually purchased, I'll add here that the rocker switches stay in a middle position and you just click momentarily down for off or up for on. This is unlike an ordinary mechanical three-way (two-switch) arrangement, where you often have to flip the switch down to turn on and up to turn off, and actually superior in my opinion. Installed a year and a half ago and it's still working perfectly. This kit isn't cheap, but the quality and performance are excellent, and I would have paid much more to have someone run the extra wiring necessary for conventional switches, so I figure I actually saved money and still got better results.

Excellent device!
This transmitter really works! We try other brands with no much success! These devices allow us to install 4 sconces on a large residential foyer

This is a Very Well-Designed Switch/Controller Combo and Does Work Over Long Distances
First of all, I am a retired radar systems engineer, and I am familiar with the RF frequency being used to switch this controller. I only recently installed the switches and associated controller, so I cannot claim knowledge of their reliability over time, but from what I have seen so far, as well as discussed with the Runlesswire company, I think that this switch/controller combo is great and very well thought out. On the negative side, let me say that attempting to install the switch and controller within the same box is tough. I had to add a small extension to the box. In my case this was an external box by my pool so it was no big deal. This outside box was metal, so the control signal was not about to get into the box from the remote switch without my adding a way for the antenna to be exposed. I added a short (2”) threaded PVC tube with end cap to extend the antenna, so this was another reason that I needed some room in the box to put the antenna in position. This is not required if using a plastic box. I wanted the remote switch up at my house and placed it in an existing box that had been used with the original remote switch, installed over 10 years ago using an older technology. The box was plastic, which was good, but it was next to the leader for the gutters, which deflected the signal away from the direction I wanted it to go. I solved the problem by placing metal foil on the opposite side of the box to redirect the signal. This worked great. Note that in order to get to the antenna on the box by the pool the signal had to go about 123 ft, including a bounce off the metal fence behind the pool back to that antenna on the opposite side of the pool. That all worked great, but I was concerned about having to replace a switch or controller at some later date, and discussed this with the company. While it is clear that the controller can be programmed to match a replacement switch, it is also possible to add multiple switches to the same controller, so it is not necessary to have all switches set to the same signal. They thought of many issues when designing this, so while this switch may appear expensive, you are getting your money’s worth!

Expensive but worth the money.
This avoids all the problems that cheaper units have. Notice that the receiver has a conduit type connection. This allows it to be connected outside a junction box without having exposed wires. Very desirable. Other units won't work from inside a junction box but can't be mounted outside a box without having exposed wires. It also has an outside antenna, so it receives from any direction. A problem with other units that are sensitive to the orientation of the receiver and what it's mounted to. The transmitters, the switch buttons, are exceptionally powerful and have no batteries. Those are issues with other units. Others won't turn on very time or off every time and are not forgiving of where they are mounted. When the batteries get weak they work even less well. I've tried others, this one works. It has everything it needs. No muss, no fuss, no work arounds.

Glad I bought these, Easy Install
We have an old home with plaster walls. That makes it hard to wire and re-wire lights. This product saved me a day of wiring by allowing me to place the receivers in hard wired sconces and tape the switch to the wall. It works great. The switch looks like one of our other switches. The lights respond immediately. These were really easy to install. Instructions were helpful. The receivers are large as others have said. I was able to screw one onto the back of one of my electrical boxes. The other barley fit into the other electrical box. So, if you have lots of wiring in a box or you can't get to the back of a box already installed, these might not work. In my case, I was installing the electrical boxes, so I was able to make it work. The only major critique is how pricey these are. I hesitate 4 or 5 stars but gave it 5 starts because they did solve a problem and a bunch of time.

A little pricey but good quality wireless switches
I really like the battery-less operation (self-generating electricity) switches to actuate the load. And I like the fact that like regular wired switches, these rocker switches don't require you to press in a specific area of the switch to get it to actuate. The system is not cheap, but it works well and certainly easier than running wires to a 4-way switch series. The only minor thing is aesthetic - the rocker switches stay in the middle position vs. being "up" (off) or "down" (on) as do wired rocker switches.

Perfect solution for my insane kitchen lighting
The house we bought had the most annoying kitchen light situation you can imagine. We have some recessed lights over the island on their own switch, a main ceiling light on its own switch, another ceiling light on the other end on its own switch and a group of recessed lights over the stove, yes you guessed right on their own switch. So, to get the kitchen lights on I had to switch on FOUR switches and when leaving I had to make the same round to switch them off. ANNOYING. After asking different electricians and getting their quotes as well as the info that for the two ceiling lights they would have to open up the ceiling in order to put all the lights together we were totally frustrated. Runlesswire simple light switch kit solved our problem with no walls or ceiling to open, an installation as easy as switching switches and roughly 1/4 the costs of the quotes I got. Programming the four switch/ receiver pairs to work with each other was very easy. Now I can switch the whole kitchen on from one switch and off from another when I leave the kitchen on the other end. Every switch is turning every light on or off. We put two of the runlesswire switch inserts into the existing wall plates, replacing the existing switches but used blanks for the other two existing switches and used the complete runlesswire switches on two different, more convenient locations, since they don’t need batteries or power we could put them were we wanted. Thank you, thank you!!! Yes the price is on the high side and unfortunately there is no discount for buying more than one, but I am so happy with this product that I would not deduct even half a star if it would be possible. Our lowest quote was $1900 and the highest $3500, so we paid less with less destruction. Win Win. Absolutely the perfect solution for us.

Product functionality and tech support
Product worked exactly as advertised. Absolutley great solution when you can run additional wires. We have a log cabin so any new wiring is next to imossible. We used the double switch and two receivers to power two different sets of lights from one power source. Fantastic! I also was a little confused about one thing and called tech support. They answered right away and were able to easily help me.
