Is this the same as the 3M PL200 where the 3M model is just a rebranded Dymo?

Wow, I just googled the PL200 and it sure looks like the Dymo 5200, though the Dymo includes the battery charger and some spools of tape and a nice hard case to keep everything together. Looking at the price, I think the Dymo is a better buy.

How do the labels hold up to automotive uses, like oils, fuels & under hood temperatures??

I use these labels on the wiring on my Perkins 4.108 diesel and they work OK. Just pick the right ones. I use the ones for cables and the clothtype ones.

It depends how you buy it: As a kit it comes with a nicad battery and charger. Otherwise it can operate on 6 AA’s
