Can you have normal conversation with these in your ears

I use the radians 2 part silicone plugs for light noise suppression like farm equipment or hammering on an anvil, but they still allow me to hear conversations, etc. Also great for keeping welding sparks out of your ear. However, they are no good for shooting so I look forward to trying this brand. Noisy bar bands are the enemy of my tinnitus so I keep silocone earplugs in my pocket but can still talk to people.

How are these for musicians? Do they make sound muffled/cloudy or merely less loud?

So far, SO GOOD!This is the sole purpose for my getting these. I am a musician and I go out to see many shows, so ear protection is a must. For high frequencies; guitars cymbals, harmonica, horns, they are great. They allow you to still hear clearly, just more quietly. I am a bass guitarist, and I must say, my sound is a little muffled. However, I don't think that can be helped. Lower frequencies are more difficult to hear. That is why a good guitar amp is 100 watts and my bass amp is 1000 watts.All in all, I am very happy with these ear pieces and will buy more and use them the rest of my career and life!

when they are in do they decrease the sound of people talking(with out music on)?

Yes, they do. These don't have sound filters and they will reduce talking loudness. I use mine to muffle loud machines. I can only hear people if they are standing in front of me talking loud.

What do I do if they get melted together in the boiling water?

Buy new ones. I'd suggest to boil separately. Depending on how much they melted together they may be salvageable.
