Amazing phone but sadly it cannot work with any US carrier. It only allows Edge network 2g and that itself is buggy3g/4g in US use different bandsIf you have a EU carrier then this phone is 5 star

I had someone drop this off at my tech repair company because he did not want the phone anymore. After using this device, I liked it. It felt a little small in my hands since my daily driver phone is the LG V10. But this is a wonderful little phone. It has a decent camera. The audio quality is nice, and it has a decent battery life to it. This would be the PERFECT phone to use from my stand point if I was to travel the outside the Country and needed a phone to use on a different network over seas.

I bought this phone on the promise of it being open and standard. Then the headphone jack failed. The system is becoming less responsive and taking longer to start.I could live with that. The real problem is that it only works on limited types of networks. This wasn't a problem in the UK or Iceland, but in NZ it works on half the networks and in Thailand none of them.So. What's the point of a phone I can't use as a phone. Can't even use it as an mp3 player.

I have three of these (for family members) as they are good value only problem is that the Bluetooth capability is rubbish when it comes to User to Recipient, I have queried this with Wiley Swift Support and all they can say is "send it back for repair". Sorry just not good enough. There is obviously a software problem that requires a simple update. Not impressed with the so called support.

Ho acquistato questo smartphone tramite Warehouse Deals, descritto "come nuovo"... e infatti era proprio nuovo! Neanche aperto, con sigillo argentato WileyFox ancora integro. La scatola era leggermente sporca e con etichette di Amazon (che ho tolto con delicatezza) ma quel telefono venduto (e pagato) come usato non era mai uscito dalla scatola. Un ottimo affare se si sa come valutare le offerte di Warehouse Deals, che ha portato a un risparmio di circa 50 euro rispetto al modello bianco nuovo.Stavo cercando uno smartphone per mio padre (esigenze d'uso "basic") e quello che mi ha fatto optare per questo, a parte l'hardware assolutamente valido, è stato che il produttore offre ufficialmente gli aggiornamenti Android fino alla versione 7.1. In giro non si trovano molti produttori che aggiornino effettivamente i terminali, figuriamoci questo che è del 2015.WileyFox fornisce su Facebook una guida UFFICIALE per i primi due aggiornamenti manuali dedicati a chi ha ancora Android 5 (i successivi sono automatici). Come dicevo, visto che questo telefono non era mai uscito dalla scatola, aveva ancora Android 5 che è piuttosto vecchio. I originally got one of these handsets on Amazons 'Try Before You Buy' offer. I was so utterly impressed that I bought one for keeps.Being tight, I went for one offered by Amazon at a lower price from the 'Warehouse Deals'. (£87)I accepted in ordering this at this price, almost £40 cheaper than new, that there would be scratches and signs of previous use and that the packaging was damaged.... However... Read On!The one I received was in a new box, seal broken. The handset itself is every bit as good as new, not a mark on it, not even a fingerprint nor a speck of dust, and the accessories are new and sealed.Here's my review:This 5-inch Cyanogen mobile is well-specced packing Cyanogen 13 OS.The Wileyfox Swift is a non-assuming little 5-inch phone that at first glance appears to be your standard black brick, but strong usability and some neat little design features help to elevate it above many other low-cost alternatives.The Swift is easy to use one-handed thanks to its slender bezels and slimline build. You can't switch up the Swift's look and feel like you can with other handsets, which support a range of coloured back plates. But the 'You can have any colour as long as it's black' approach to design isn't overly businessy, and little effects such as the round, indented speaker grille and cool fox head logo make it an attractive value handset.Prise off that back plate and you'll find a removable 2,500mAh battery, a microSD memory card slot and - surprisingly - dual SIM card slots. This allows you to insert a work and personal SIM, for instance, and choose which one to use at any given time for messaging, web browsing and so on. I had absolutely no issues with using the handset in dual sim modes.Annoyingly, the Swift's USB port seems to be a little loose when using a standard charging cable. My personal long-serving Nokia USB charger cable kept slipping out of the phone when I moved it, despite working fine with other mobiles. Thankfully Wileyfox's bundled cable, which is a funky non-tangle effort, fits into the Swift firmly and doesn't drop out. Though be warned, the included cable although adequate, is rather on the short side.The 5-inch 720P screen is pleasing to the eye. You have to get in close to see individual pixels, while colours aren't oversaturated, standing out nicely. Contrast levels could be better, as blacks come out more as a dark grey, but the super-bright screen can be clearly seen outdoors and High-def movies still look the business on the Swift, proving once again that a near-£100 asking price no longer means crappy visuals.The Swift's speakers are built into the bottom of the phone, which makes them a little easy to smother when holding the handset in portrait or landscape. They aren't exactly going to blow your face off with incredible power either, but audio quality is perfectly fine if you don't have headphones to plug in. Headphones do improve the sound, and a reasonable sound equaliser app is included to tweak this.And if you've got a decent-sized media collection, the 16GB of storage can be expanded by a further 32GB via the microSD memory card slot. I did however manage to use a 64GB card without an issue.With an emphasis on customisation and user privacy, Cyanogen OS is a very dense but enjoyable mobile OS. It's also nice and stable with very few quirks or bugs, which is refreshing.Sadly any dreams of an all-round winner start to crumble a little when you come to performance and battery life.The Wileyfox Swift isn't a chugger by any means, but I did see a fair few elongated pauses when tapping an app before the thing actually flashed up on the screen. I still managed to play plenty of games with a decent frame rate, but the Snapdragon 410 processor - backed by 2GB of RAM - definitely struggles a little to keep up on occasion.As for battery life, the Swift will see you through the day but no more than that, unless you only occasionally switch it on to check for messages. You can pretty much watch the battery meter tick down when you're using the thing, although the final few percent always seems to last longer, which is a blessed relief when you're desperately trying to do a dozen things before the phone dies.And if you want to stream video non-stop, expect less than four hours of life before the Swift dies.Spare batteries are available however, and I would recommend this if not staying close to a charging source.The Swift can't quite compete with the bigger boys with its own 13-megapixel camera, although it's not a bad snapper by any means.The cameras' autofocus takes a second or two to snap onto your subject and there are plenty of settings icons clogging up the screen. Thankfully you can manually focus with a tap, if your subject hasn't been cleanly picked up.Everyday shots came out well in general, with plenty of detail packed in, especially with close-up macro photos. The Swift's lens only seems to struggle with high contrast shots, with lots of detail being lost in darker areas.The Swift's lens also struggles in low-light conditions, although the strong dual-LED flash does counter this in intimate scenes. However, the flash doesn't always activate in auto mode and I found that even with the flash in play, some of my night shots ended up quite blurry if the subject was in motion.HD footage shot on the camera is perfectly serviceable, despite the lack of motion stabilisation. As for the 5-megapixel selfie cam, it's a similar story. Selfie shots weren't particularly sharp and often blurry, but the wide-angle lens means you can comfortably take a shot with three or four besties, without straining your arm - too much.To summarise, at this price, and for the quality - if you are in the market for a snappy handset on a budget, you can't go far wrong with the Wileyfox Swift. It is more Premium than budget.It has swayed me from the fruit branded handset that I was using previously - and I am sincere with this review. So much so that I have actually ordered another handset to replace this Try Now Buy Later Amazon Handset.This is an honest and impartial review based on my own experience with the handset. My opinion has not been swayed by retailer nor manufacturer.However if they do want to send me products to test and review in future... Bring 'em on!

El WlieyFox Swift es un smartphone de gama media con una calidad y a un precio muy bueno para esta horquilla de teléfonos inteligentes.Su principal particularidad es el sistema operativo que monta el Cyanogen SO, es un sistema operativo de código abierto para teléfonos móviles y tabletas basado en el sistema operativo Android, el teléfono lleva la versión 12.1, pero yo la he actualizado a la última versión estable, esta versión de Cyanogen es la 13.0, no confundamos el Sistema Operativo Cyanogen SO con el CyanogenMod.El menú de su interface es distinto, ya posee muchos programas pre-instalados, este S.O. viene con muchos smartphone de reconocidas marcas como el Lenovo Zuk Z1, el BQ, One Plus, etc.Decir que el WileyFox Swift es una marca Británica, esta compañía nació con una clara idea de lugar contra los gigantes asiáticos, y sobre todo ofrecer móviles baratos con unas prestaciones buenas y sobre todo que estos sean totalmente personalizables, cuidando al máximo nuestros datos y que podamos instalar y desinstalar todas y cada una de las aplicaciones que vienen por defecto en nuestro teléfonos comprados que supuestamente son libres, pero todos sabemos que no es así.Este terminal de 5 pulgadas con unas medidas de 14'1 x 7'1 x 0'9 y un peso con batería de 137 gramos, posee un interior con un hardware que hasta no hace mucho era de gama alta.El teléfono posee una pantalla de 5 pulgadas con resolución HD a 720p y una densidad de 294 ppp. El procesador es un Snapdragon 410 de 64 bits y ocho núcleos a 1,2 GHz, que viene acompañado por una GPU Adreno 306, con 2 GB de memoria RAM y además de sus 16 GB de almacenamiento interno.La pantalla está protegida por la tecnología Gorilla Glass 3, en cuanto a comunicaciones posee Bluetooth 4.0, una batería de 2.500 mAh, y cámara frontal de 5 mpx y trasera de 13 mpx, con doble flash.Bajo mi punto de vista la batería debería haber tenido un poco más de potencia, ya que podrá aguantarnos el día entero con un uso moderado alto.Las fotografías son bastante buenas, y podremos elegir entre varios formatos.El terminal es doble Sim, y puedes insertarle una micro SD hasta 32 Gb.La parte trasera es ligeramente curva y el material de construcción es un poco rugoso, muy cómoda de sujetar, y sobre todo será difícil que se nos resbale.Lo he estado trasteando bastante, y este terminal es rápido, y su respuesta es bastante buena.En definitiva, un teléfono que va a dar mucho que hablar y además de ello va a rascar en un segmento que tenía copado los BQ, ya que los WileyFox son más baratos y con más prestaciones.

Meine groben Anforderungen an ein gutes Handy sind bzw. waren:- flüssiges Arbeiten auch bei Multitasking (also min. 2GB RAM, keine uralt CPU)- kein Herstelleraufsatz, also möglichst Vanilla-Android- ca. 4,7-5" Display- Dual-Sim- SD-Karten-Slot mit 16GB oder ohne SD mit min. 32GB internem Speicher- möglichst günstig- erhöhte Chancen lange mit Updates bedient zu werdenIch hatte lange ein Nexus 4 und war bisher auch Fan der Nexus Reihe. Nachdem allerdings die Preise dort nicht mehr wie zu Nexus4/5-Zeiten sind und Motorola mit dem Moto G (2013-2014) ein interessantes Preis/Leistungswunder geliefert hatte, hielt ich Ausschau nach etwas günstigerem für mich. Das Moto G (2014) war in meinem Besitz aber hier habe ich festgestellt, dass für meine Zwecke 1GB RAM und 8Gb interner Speicher (trotz SD-Karte) zu wenig sind. Das Moto G (2015) hatte leider kein Dual-Sim (mehr) und kostete auch schon wieder viel mehr. Soviel zur Vorgeschichte.Mit dem Swift bin ich sehr zufrieden. Es läuft alles einwandfrei, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten fast schon perfekt - und das für einen unglaublichen Preis. Klar ist dabei, dass es sich bei dem Preis auch nicht um ein Iphone handeln kann, d.h. es geht auf jeden Fall noch dünner, heller, schöner, edler.*** Im Detail- Betriebssystem: Ich hätte es nicht gedacht, aber das begeistert mich mit am meisten. Man kann so viel sinnvolle Sachen einstellen, muss es aber nicht. Es erscheint schlank wie ein Nexus, hat aber etliche Funktionen integriert die ich früher mit mehreren anderen Apps realisiert habe oder gar nicht möglich waren (wechsel zur vorherigen App durch langen Druck auf das Viereck, verschiedene Profile anlegen, Farben/Helligkeit der Benachrichtigungs-LED konfigurieren, Abends augenschonendere Displayfarben, APP Berechtigungen verwalten/einschränken...). Es macht Spaß :-)- Display: Auflösung und Helligkeit absolut ausreichend; man kann das Display auch gut draußen bei Sonnenschein lesen. Hier ist bestimmt Luft nach oben, aber m.M.n. an der richtigen Stelle gespart- Telefon: Klangqualität und Netzempfang sind in Ordnung, Sprachqualität besser als beim Moto G (2014)- GPS: funktioniert einwandfrei (Nachtrag: siehe Update I)- RAM/CPU: Die Performance ist klasse, mehr braucht man eigentlich nicht. Das einzige was ab und an feststellbar ist, dass Animationen manchmal etwas ruckeln. Ich habe allerdings keine RAM-Engpässe oder Abstürze feststellen können obwohl ich gerne mal viel gleichzeitig laufen habe (z. B. Musik über BT + Navi im Hintergrund + 3. App). Auch Apps starten schnell, man hat nicht das Gefühl auf das Handy warten zu müssen. Und das obwohl ich rund 100 Apps installiert habe, einige davon laufen permanent im Hintergrund (Whatsapp, Tasker, Wetter, Google Now, Müllwecker...)- Kamera: Ich habe gerne gute Bilder und dafür auch gute Kameras. Für den Fall, dass ich keine Kamera dabei habe, ist die Qualität voll in Ordnung. Als Ersatz für eine ordentliche Kamera ist sie nicht geeignet (das ist ein Handy aber meines Erachtens naturgemäß nicht, allein aus haptischen Gründen).- Akku: Ist nicht überdurchschnittlich aber ausreichend. Einen Tag hält er bei mir normal durch. (siehe Updates)- Updates: Da kann man erst was dazu sagen wenn es so weit ist, bin aber guter Dinge.. (siehe Update II)*** Wichtig zu wissen:- Die Dual-Sim-Funktion ist sehr rudimentär implementiert. Mit der aktuellen SW-Version kann man für Tel/SMS/Internet nur zuweisen "SIM1/SIM2/Immer fragen(nicht bei Internet)". Ich kann damit leben, hoffe aber auf eine erweiterte Funktion nach einem möglichen Update.- Die Mikro-USB-Buchse liegt etwas tiefer im Handy als bei einigen anderen Handys. Dadurch hält z.B. das Ladekabel vom Nexus 4 nicht richtig. Die meisten anderen halten gut. Im Notfall kann man ein vorhandenes Kabel evtl. mit einem Messer bearbeiten/kürzen.- Die Benachrichtiguns-LED ist standardmäßig sehr hell (vor allem Nachts auf dem Nachttisch störend), kann aber konfiguriert werden -> in den Einstellungen für die Farben mehr Schwarzanteil einstellen- Die automatische Displayhelligkeitssteuerung geht relativ früh auf die maximale Helligkeit. Der Lux-Sensor ist ok und misst auch wenn es heller ist korrekt. Bis ein eventueller Fix kommt habe ich die Automatik deaktiviert.Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Handy, Preis-Leistungsmäßig gibt es momentan nichts besseres.*** Update I (nach 2 Wochen):Akku: Die ersten ca. 10% des Akkus verschwinden bei mir rasend schnell, erst danach ist die Anzeige realistisch. Ich habe Google Now mittlerweile deaktiviert da das bei mir zu einem erheblichen Akkuverbrauch durch ständiges "Aktiv lassen" geführt hat (das war bei den letzten Handys nicht so massiv feststellbar - trotzdem aber eher ein Problem der Google-App). Ohne Google Now und unter Berücksichtigung der nicht nutzbaren ersten 10% ist der Akku für mich voll in Ordnung.GPS: Ich bin mittlerweile mit dem Handy über 1000 km problemlos navigiert und hatte tatsächlich zuletzt das erste Mal einen Effekt, den evtl. auch andere hatten die über Probleme mit dem GPS berichtet hatten: Navigation über Google Maps, GPS unterbricht in unregelmäßigen Abständen für eine gefühlte Millisekunde. Die Folge ist jedes Mal eine Ansage, wie lange ich auf der Strecke bleiben soll, - das Navi hat dabei trotzdem, zwar nervig, nutzbar funktioniert. Bei anderen Navi-Apps (MAPS.ME, Scout) war das nicht der Fall. Ich hab ein dann ein bisschen hin und her probiert (war ja die ganze Zeit nicht so) und hab den Fehler beim Fahren wegbekommen, indem ich während der Maps-Navigation parallel eine weitere Navigationsapp gestartet und navigieren lassen habe. Daraufhin ist Maps wieder einwandfrei gelaufen. Auch ein "hartes" Beenden der zusätzlichen Naviapp führte nicht wieder zu dem alten Zustand. Vielleicht hilft das jemand mit Navi Problemen weiter. Scheint aber auf jeden Fall an der Software und nicht an der Hardware zu liegen.SD-Karte: Habe zwischendurch eine 64GB SD-Karte probiert, wurde vom Handy ohne Probleme erkannt*** Update II (nach 5 Wochen):Akku: mittlerweile hab ich Google Now wieder aktiviert; der Akku verliert den Tag über ohne Nutzung ca. 40% - das erschien mir am Anfang viel, ist aber mit aktiviertem Standortverlauf, Google Now, BT+WLan immer an und mit verbundenem MiBand, dass bei jeder Mail und Whatsapp-Nachricht vibriert. Dadurch habe ich auch lange "aktiv lassen"-Zeiten.Nutze ich das Handy mal intensiver (3-5h Display an, Nachrichten schreiben, Musik hören, Spielchen) hab ich Abends meist trotzdem noch 10% wenn es ans Ladegerät geht -> nach 16h ohne NachladenGPS: Nach einer (nicht zwingend nötigen) Modifikation ist das Thema für mich eigentlich erledigt. Es hat nicht das genaueste GPS (Geschwindigkeitsanzeige beim Fahren mit Tempomat schwankt leicht) aber ist absolut praxistauglich. Nachdem ich bemerkt habe, dass das Signal etwas besser wird, allein wenn der Deckel nicht komplett angeclipst ist, habe ich mir eine dünne Pappkarte zugeschnitten (auf den Bereich der im Deckel beschichtet ist) und zwischen Deckel und Handy gelegt.Das Problem mit Maps (siehe Update I) besteht noch, da bin ich immer noch von Softwareproblemen überzeugt. Evtl. liegt es an der installierten APP "GPS Status" die sich bei jeder GPS- Nutzung zwischenrein hängt. Werde es weiter beobachten.Updates: Ein kleines Update kam zwischenzeitlich, das lässt auf Android 6.0 hoffen :-)

Intro : j'avais un Huawei P7 (300€) puis un LG Spirit 4G (170€).En Bref, points positifs :> LE PRIX & le design> 2Go de Ram & Android 6.01 (Cyanogen OS 13 !)> Dalle et interface très fluide (peu de latence et ralentissements quasi imperceptible)> Interface plaisante à utiliser, merci Cyanogen OS très proche de Android Stock (façon Moto G avec plus d'options)> Qualité photos de jour (bonne lumière / bonnes conditions)> L'option 720p@60fps (juste l'option... parce que la qualité c'est pas trop ça. Elle sert quasi à rien. Privilégier 1080p@30fps)> LED de notification> Double SIM (+ microSD en supplément)En bref, les points négatifs :> La batterie correct mais qui peut fondre si on joue trop avec la luminosité>> D'ailleurs la barre de la luminosité est très mal équilibré. Une utilisation en intérieur ne nécessite d'être qu'entre 0 et 20% (approximativement)> L'option 720p@60ps de nuit inutilisable> L'auto-focus parfois à la peine (parfois même en plein jour, pour des raisons assez inexplicables)> A ce prix, inutile d'espérer jouer à de gros jeux 3D (tous les petits jeux marchent bien)> J'ai vu plus simple pour configurer certaines optionsEn bref, les points neutre :> La gestion des "profils son" sous Android stock n'est pas des plus pratiques> La luminosité "Auto" peu compréhensible> Mieux vaut acheter une coque pour protéger l'arrière (qui soit disant en passant est très appréciable)> Qualité vidéo correct en vidéo 1080p @ 30fps> Qualité photo correct par temps gris ou de nuit> 16Go il y a tout juste ~11Go de libreSon concurrent direct vaut 50€ de plus. La est tout l'avantage du Wileyfox. Son rapport/qualité prix.Si vous chercher un téléphone pour votre quotidien, qui rame pas, qui gère le multi-app sans sourciller et qui lance toutes les appli' sans problème, qui dépanne en photo par beau temps, et qui ne fait "que" 5' pouce (et pas 5.5' comme c'est la mode), c'est un très bon choix.Alternatives : Samsung J5 2016 (moins de Ram) pour 70€ de plus ou Moto G 3rd G dans sa version 16/2Go pour 50€ de plus.
