Microtail 3 Nos. Carbon Sensors with 1.5 Meter Wire Attached for Water Level Controller and Indicator (White)

These Graphite sensors have solved my long-standing problem which I faced with Stainless Steel Sensors. I bought a battery operated Water Tank Alarm 3 years back which had Stainless Steel sensors.After a few days, a thin layer of white oxide deposited from the water on the sensors and the alarm stopped working.I had to climb on the tank, pull the sensors and remove the oxide layer by rubbing emery paper. Every 2 weeks I had to do this which was a big nuisance. 2) Also,as the tank is closed, due to high humidity, sensors stopped working.This happened particularly during rainy seasons. 2 months back,I purchased 2 graphite rods from Microtail , removed the existing sensors and put the graphite rods in its place. I did not replace my alarm.To my pleasant surprise, till now the sensors are working fine and alarm is sounding without fail. Thanks to Microtail for this product which has solved my problem.

I bought a water level controller with steel sensor probes from Amazon a while back. The sensors had screws on top to hold the wires, but over time, the screws rusted due to the salty water, causing poor contact with the wires. To fix it, I had to climb into the water tank, cut the wires, clean the sensors with acid, and reattach them. This was a tedious and inconvenient process. That's why I switched to carbon sensors with pre-attached wires. Hopefully, these won't rust or cause short circuits like the previous ones. I installed the new sensors today and they're working well. I'll have to see how they hold up over time, but so far, so good. I'll update this review in a few months or years with more information about their performance. Update: Carbon sensors are really good, I just totally forgot about the review update however, since the day I installed the carbon sensors, I didn't have had any issues like I had like with steel sensors those were immersed in water like rust formation etc.

One my friend referred this to me. This mainly avoids salt formation which makes it last longer.

They were not of very good quality, there are better products available in the market.

Worth for money

I replaced the metal sensors as it was getting coroded with rust & salt deposits on its surface. Replaced it with the carbon sensors. So far so good. Has been a week, need to check it's durability & maintenance free performance.

The last one lasted for 5 years so had to buy this. Wire is good and quality is good as well. This is better than th stainless steel one that gets attached to wire with screws as the screws would rust and give up. Will recommend.
