SARLA Black Brown Hair Bun Extension Updo Drawstring Ballet Buns Hair Pieces for Women Lady Synthetic Donut Chignon

We needed a fake bun for a pixie haircut that needed to be in an updo for a ballet performance. The color is fairly accurate, maybe it was a touch lighter but it just looked like there were highlights. The bun is somewhat loose but there is a drawstring inside to pull it tighter. There are two clips deep inside the bun, but you’d have to have a real amount of hair in a smaller bun first to make that work. Since we weren’t really working with much hair (a tiny ponytail twisted into a French twist) we just used regular Bobby pins in a circular pattern to anchor it, and then lots of hairspray. It looks like it’s a real bun! The bun did come with a loose hairnet over it and I think as each performer comes and goes, the bun will require putting it up again, so we may add our own hairnet to help secure it. It also came with one dark hair band (ponytail holder) and two black Bobby pins.

This hair piece has made my life easier/better in so many ways. Can sleep in a little longer knowing my hair routine takes about 2 minutes tops. Can go longer without washing my hair bc it always looks good with this added to it. It ships fast. True to color. Got it perfect the first time, I got the dark brown. When you first get it it’s small, nice, and neat, super cute. But after about 2 months I started brushing mine, to fluff it up and reshape it. Now it’s got volume and it’s amazing. I like to rotate a new one and one that’s been fluffed up to change my style. Get so many compliments and everyone tells me they would have never known it wasn’t my hair. I’ve had mine for about 5 months now. It’s holding up great. Will toss it when it starts showing any wear and tear. If you have thin hair but a big messy bun is what your heart desires. Get this!!! It’s not going to be your normal messy bun, cleaner look, perfect for office jobs. Holds up at the gym too. There is not one negative thing to say about this.

Garbage- looks fake and falls apart after 1 use

Good product for the price. As a black woman, I was a bit concerned it would look or fall right for my hair, but its actually looks really. the Draw string, makes it easier to place it right over your own hair bun and then pin around it, which is what I typically look. The messy look gives it some realism as it not bone stiff like some of these other buns. Some people will like that, some will not, I like it , I felt it made it look more realistic. I will say that I'm not sure how long it will last as it does seem a little loose at the root , but , for the price, absolutely was worth and if anything would just get another a few months. P.S. I got the black brown (1b) but it looks more like dark brown (color # 2) so it is lighter than expected. I would suggested whatever color you are seeking, get one shade darker.

These were easy as heck to put into my hair! That being said I’m rating it a 3 just because if I order two of the same color, I expect them to be the same. I can’t even return one so I can get a better color! (NO RETURNS ON THIS) So beware of that if you order the same color multiple times for the space buns. The last photos shows the color difference. But honestly it’s worth the cost I’ll likely buy another one cause I have thin hair and I’m always doctoring it up with extensions! I’m a personal trainer so I move a lot and these stayed put through my work out! No one said “hey is that a hair piece?!” Cause you can’t tell! It’s not a 100% match to my hair color but it’s close enough. I’d say you should absolutely buy it! Just be aware of the color issue!

They black brown was a close match depending on the lighting. I love this bun! Very secure when put on correctly with two inside combs to attach to my short, fine pony tail. I like the size of the bun as it looks realistic. I will buy another to keep as a backup. These are great for flight attendants who have to where their hair up but have thin or fine hair.

Its ik and some what does the job, but it's not a bun that stays put. It's more like a short poneytail that was curled under. So if your riding around with your car windows down, the wind will move it around and you have to take it off and use a brush to fix it to get it nice and neat.

Middle Gray Chignon is what I bought and it is gorgeous and matches my hair exactly. I have mousy brown hair on top with a deeper brown underneath - all of which is graying from the front and edges toward the middle. So, I have a mixture of tones right now and I do not color my hair. I'm wearing this to my son's wedding and I practiced the bun with a decorative comb the other day... beautiful - see the pictures. It is easy to use with a little practice. PRACTICE before the event! My hair is only shoulder length naturally, so I needed one of those netting, "bun donuts" in a medium size to go over my ponytail and under this fake chignon to fill it out. So, get one go those if you need to. They look like sponges or netting with a hole in the middle - just like a donut. I used a taupe one and I also used matching bobby pins. (They also make dark brown and blond ones.) MATCH YOUR HAIR up with all that, so nothing shows. See my pictures. So far, it seems that I do not need hairspray - very secure. Anyway, it's looking great! Highly recommend.
