I picked up the Veltec EZ-1000 Safety Box Cutter Utility Knife for everyday cutting tasks around the house and work, and overall I’m pleased with how it performs. The 3 blade depth settings are really handy — I can adjust it depending on whether I’m slicing through thin packaging or thicker cardboard. The squeeze trigger makes it feel safe and controlled to use, and I like that it’s designed with safety in mind. It’s comfortable in my hand and feels sturdy, not flimsy. I haven’t had any issues with the blade staying in place when cutting, which is a big plus. Would recommend if you need a reliable utility knife that’s easy to use and versatile for different jobs.

I have found this to be decent. Its held up, I just wish was a smidge better made i guess? The lanyard could be stronger and easily stretches out Also the know that spins to select how long blade comes out and to lock it, is easily moved by getting bumped or what not. My only complaint is the the clip on to your belt or pockets. It pops off everything. Ugh.

Walmart used to have these years ago and got rid of them and replaced them with cheap blades that had no holster and we lose them on a daily basis. I miss these so I went to Amazon hoping to find them. Made my job so much easier!! No more having to fumble around in my vest pocket for my boxknife...

I love this thing but someone stole it at work. The blade are sharp, and it come with extra. It clip to you pants and perfect for every day.

I just received this yesterday and tried it out today. I love this box cutter. The holster holds very well on a belt but can be used on a pocket. You can adjust the swivel so it doesn’t dig into your knees when you bend down. The blade is very sharp and the trigger is an awesome feature. Safety is very important in my role as a grocer and I would definitely recommend this product. I will be buying a few more. 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well thought, very good design

I've used these cutters in retail for over 10 yrs now. They are approved for use in most grocery store chains (this is where I was originally issued one). The side guides make for a clean cut. The holster was never something useful to me - waist band on pants higher up on my body than would make it useful. I've always removed the cord and holster, and stuck the cutter into the pocket of my apron or shirt pocket. I also enjoy lending coworkers (work somewhere where these are not known cutters) my knife, and seeing the puzzled look on their faces as to how to operate it. I tell them, while making the hand gesture, to squeeze - lol. I love that this one is blue - until now I had only seen yellow and orange.

As some one that works freight this box cutter is the best. I constantly put my knife down then spend time looking for it. This allows me to keep it close and not waste time searching

I need a box cutter for work all day and this one is nice with the belt clip so I can have it on me all day. The blade does get stuck sometimes but it is super easy to fix and doesn’t happen often enough to be an issue. The only problem I have is that it falls out of the holster sometimes when it spins around accidentally (if I bump into it and the holster goes upside down). I wish it had a big better of a hold on it so that didn’t happen, but altogether a great product
