Great replacement motor - needs a few minor installation mods
This was purchased to replace my 12-year-old Trane condenser fan motor K55HFXHD-7740 1.9A 1/4HP 825rpm which is no longer available. Thanks to this motor our HVAC unit is working again as new. Installation was easy, but need to be aware of the following: 1. The motor mounting bolts do not completely align with the original holes on the condenser body. Not a big issue as I could mount the motor on the original holes after shifting the plastic cable tray and using an additional cable-tie to safely attach it to the mounting bracket. 2. There is an additional green earthing wire (not shown in the product label) which can be fixed to one of the mounting screws. 3. The fan shaft is much longer than the original motor but that does not affect performance. 4. The new motor did not come with the 4 mounting nuts – save & use the ones installed in the original motor. Also, I would recommend replacing the 7.5uF capacitor as cheap insurance.

Fixed the problem
Received motor by time expected. Replaced bad fan motor with new one. Had to make a motor wire tracking modification back to control components. HVAC system back in operation.

Great price for OEM product.
Great price for OEM product. I had replaced this fan motor with an aftermarket 10 years ago. Now it’s back to the way it was when it was new. The service people wanted over $1000 to come and replace it. Thank you for saving me some money.

ordered this motor to replace on my unit. Easy to wire and install. the shaft is really long, but it fits fine.

Fix your own Heat Pump
Had to fix my broken Heat Pump fan motor. Trane would not sell me one. Of course, Amazon had just what I was looking for.
