I bought this to help restart my convertible that sits in the garage most of the time. I know I should put a battery conditioner on the vehicle and keep it ready, but (well) I would likely forget to do that regularly. Anyway, rather than having to position my primary car to jump start it ... this is sooooo much easier. I've used it many times and it is so much more convenient than trying to find a car to help me get started. It comes with USB outputs as well as a light if you ever need to use it in the dark. The digital charge level helps me decide whether it is time to charge it as well. This jump box works great with my little 4-cyl Miata, but I dont have any experience with larger engines that would require a larger surge to start.

Update 10/21/21, I wanted to update my review from the last review I posted a few months back. I purchased the jump starter but it did not work once I got around to having to use it a month later. I was very disappointed. I was contacted by customer service and they went above and beyond to provide me with several options. A replacement jump starter or a full refund, despite the order date being way past 30 days. I opted for a replacement at which point I was sent the newest version of their product. I greatly appreciate their efforts and commitment to outstanding customer service. This seller gets 5 stars for going above and beyond. Previous review Jump starter waste of money- did not work I ordered the Avapow jump starter as I got stuck with a dead car on the side of the road and decided I would never let that happen to me again. After doing some research and reading reviews, I selected this item. I purchased this item in June 2021 and didn’t have to use it until mid July. I charged the starter weekly and kept it in my car. I then had another experience with a dead battery on a family member’s car (Ford Fusion sedan) and ran for the Avapow jump starter. The starter was able to give enough power to turn on the lights back in the car for a few moments. The vehicle engine would not turnover despite the 100% charge on the jump starter. I made continuous attempts to keep the connects on the car to allow enough time for a charge, but the battery quickly ran down to 20% and was of no use to get the vehicle started. I contacted AVapow customer service via email and provided my order number and reference the 2 year warranty on the product. I then requested a replacement as the product was defective. It has now been a month later and I have received no communication. I would not recommend this product to anyone as the seller is misrepresenting its product and they do not stand behind their products.

My car battery died this weekend and the voltage measured about 4 volts. I had an old fatmax that worked way back when, but it gave up the ghost, so I ordered this for next day shipping. It came at 82 percent out of the box and measured maybe 14 volts at the clips. It started the car right up. The percent stayed at 82 percent, so who knows how accurate that is. There is no dedicated on/off switch, so unplugging it from the battery with the short cables is not ideal. The manual says to unplug the wires from the unit, but since it's so snug, I just unclipped the cables from the battery, but there were sparks. A dedicated on/off switch probably would have been better. I charged it with a phone fast charger a few hours later, and it didn't seem to get warm. My house hasn't burned down yet.

Multifunctional and easy to use.

I purchased this battery jump starter about 19 months ago after having had repeated trouble with my car battery and everyone saying it was fine, and having to repeatedly call my insurance company for a jump start, so that they eventually canceled my roadside assistance. I eventually purchased a new battery, and bought this jump starter just in case. I fully charged the jump starter when I first got it, and recharged it as directed after 6 months as directed (even though the indicator showed it had discharge very little.) Fast forward 19 months, I inadvertently left the dome light to my car on, so I needed to jump start my car. I could, unfortunately, not get the jump starter to function correctly. I eventually contacted the selling company, and they were great to work with every step along the way. Jenny, the service person I dealt with, always responded promptly, offered suggestions, and made everything very easy for me. They offered me a no charge replacement, or refund. Because I wanted a new 24 month warranty, I chose the refund, and because of their great service, I purchased the exact same unit new. They even refunded me the difference between what I originally paid for it, and the current price Amazon!!!! Who could ask for more?! In the end, they asked if I could ship back the non-functioning unit, and even promptly refunded me the shipping costs! Everything including all the credits was prompt. I don't know what was wrong with the original unit because it showed that it was 100% charged. Maybe it was a faulty adapter plug that held the clamps. I don't know, but I highly recommend this company because they FULLY stand behind their products... even after my having purchased it 19 months previously, and not having registered for the warranty when I first received it. A great product. Bought it and it works the way it should. The cable is a little short if it had an extra three inches it would be even better. Very easy to get the it attached using the clamps and they hold firmly. Started a lawn mower twice. One on the first try and the other on the second try. Very convenient and I thought the flashlight was useless until I needed light. Overall the product is a 10/10. It fits my needs and allows me to get stuff done.

I've had this jump starter for the better part of a year now, the product comes with the main battery pack, the jumper cables that connect to it, and a USB-C cable. It has worked as intended, jump started my car numerous times throughout the winter (or whenever I'd foolishly leave the car lights on). On occasion I'd use it to charge other devices as well, and it's worked pretty good. Flashlight is also really neat. Recharging the battery pack didn't take too long, probably a few hours at most from 0%. Don't leave it in the cold though, the battery will drain, so make sure to take this in during the winter season. Recently I made the mistake of leaving the jumper cables connected to the battery pack, DO NOT DO THIS, it will drain the battery and if left for a very long time, it will ultimately kill your product (mine sat for almost a month like this). I have tried leaving it to charge for over 2 day and it will not go past 99%, but it will not turn on and will reset the charge if unplugged. This incredibly important detail was not stated anywhere in the user manual, or on any of the yellow warning labels on the product itself. When it works, it works good, phenomenally even for the price, but this little mistake made this battery useless. A preventable issue had it been specified anywhere in the manual or on the warning labels..
