I will certainly use this book in my many different teaching contexts. Thanks Jackie for your resourceful book. I will warmly recommend it to fellow teachers and colleagues in the field. Review: Fabulous - A great resource for helping you create a genuinely student- centered classroom in which students do 70 to 90% of the talking. Unlike some teacher manuals, this book contains realistic activities that can be tailored to any level. The author not only has impeccable academic credentials and impressive first-hand experience, but also conveys great sensitivity toward the struggles of ESOL learners. I will immediately be using some of these ideas in my classes.

Helpful Little Book
I like that the activities are low or no prep. Several of them could be used in other types of classrooms or for other topics. The explanations are clear. Unfortunately for me, I won't be able to use all 39 activities because several are too difficult for the level of students I have. I will keep the book in case I teach students with a higher level of English in the future.

Okay, some ideas. I mainly ordered to see what the author was up to.
Not too much that I could use, but, when you read someone else's work, sometimes, you get inspiration that you might have had, had you not been grousing about how what you were reading was not giving you what you need. I think the author might have a different kind of student than the ones I am working with, where they don't really want to be in class, but they are getting a deal on a student visa (as nearly as I can tell)..

What a value!
The kindle version is only 99 cents and the format has so many extras! I have get to find an activity I dislike. Very well organized and easy to use.

The ideas might be great but the tiny print/font is such that I won’t know.
Very small print/font. Too bad as I like the author’s other book (scatter sheets).

Excelente Ebook com super dicas para profissionais que trabalham com a língua inglesa. Recomendo para professores de língua inglesa especialmente os que trabalham com abordagem comunicativa.

This is by far, my favourite book of the collection, it has great no-prep or low-prep activities that can save you if you have to improvise during class or if you want to reward your students with a little game without having to prepare much beforehand.

In an nut shell...these are functional, clear and handy activities to have in your teaching arsenal. Of the handful that I have used in Japanese university pre-intermediate classes, all have been generally successful...in that the students responded to the tasks okay, completed them successfully and for the most part without tears or gnashing of teeth!

Really useful for quick lesson prep. Good mix of ideas and teaching methods.
