Love this new addition to my home gym!
Before the aqua bag I primarily worked on a 100lb heavy bag for my boxing workouts. Iโm a novice when it comes to boxing talent, but I love the sport and I got the basics of boxing down to use as my cardio. Iโm 39, 5โ10โ, 207lbs, but with a full knee replacement in my lead leg, and I wasnโt sure if the 75lbs bag was heavy enough to stay in place enough for my lack of lateral movement, but I was pleasantly surprised! I chose 75lbs because I wanted to be able to put it up unassisted. Setup: I hang it with a 200lb-max carabiner and a 500lb-max swivel I got from Home Depot, and a Meister 200lb Heavy Bag Spring. The spring really absorbs a lot of the vibration away from my garage beams. Instead of a chain I use my Angles90 nylon straps to reduce noise. Feel: Completely different than hitting the heavy bag. The water absorbs your punch without too much swing back after contact. It feels more like hitting someone wearing a body pad or I imagine what a real punch to a person feels like. PROS: the biggest advantages over a traditional heavy bag: 1) uppercut work is perfect with the aqua bag as you can set it to any height you want. 2) working on your footwork and balance while throwing punches at the more mobile target will challenge your distance-gauging and timing. I find myself throwing more punches on the move and closing the distance than I do with my heavy bag. More of a realistic feel to boxing in my opinion. 3) mixing in defensive drills is seamless because the bag can swing in multiple directions depending on what punch you just threw. 4) There is very little jarring to your hands/wrists/shoulders. If you have any issues in these joints, this is a great heavy bag alternative. I can hit it as hard as I want and not have any pain from the occasional off-target punch. CONS: 1) As I said before it does move after you hit it from its stationary position. At first use I was chasing the bag more often after throwing 3+ hit combos, which can be frustrating at times when you just wanna punch non-stop. You can tell from the video Iโm still adjusting to closing the distance after a jab to land a hook or uppercut with perfect form (video is from last month). Then again, a real person wonโt just stand there getting punched. To remedy this I typically start a combo on the front swing after a push or single shot. A heavier aqua bag will probably move less. 2) Working the body is almost non-existent with this size aqua bag. Other than an angled uppercut/hook under the armpit, Iโll just use my heavy bag for body work. You can probably lower it to do body work but then your head work is off. A heavier aqua bag might give you a bigger body target than the 75lb can. OVERALL: In my opinion the Aqua Training Bag is a great ADDITION to your home boxing gym. It doesnโt completely replace the heavy bag due to the lack of body work, but the upsides are great to have. It takes some extra hardware to setup since it only comes with 1 carabiner but no chain. If you only want to stand there wailing away, then stick to a heavy bag. If you want a more โfluidโ workout, then get the Aqua Training Bag. Mixing the heavy bag and aqua bag in my boxing workout has really opened up my boxing repertoire when working out alone. I already feel more agile and quicker on my feet since using this bag and I LOVE IT!

very strong and sturdy
I have been hitting this for over a month now -no issues. Very sturdy and you definitely cant hit it bare handed -thats how tough the rubber is. FYI -I have boxed for years and people tell me I have a strong punch so this can handle it.

Great stress reliever
Bought this just to add another routine for my garage gym. Really good option if you don't want a full-size heavy bag and be able to do some uppercut work. I think the 75lbs option is best for the space we have, but definitely a heavier one would be nicer to have. I did inflate it with air-compressor a few times to get it to hold its shape, however when filling it with water all the way to the top of the fill hole, it still creates a few wrinkles. I don't know if that is a common problem or not, but I was hoping it would have uniform shape, so we are not trying to punch around the wrinkles. I am knowing 1 star for this as I tried to fill it several different times and still have this issue. Maybe if the seller wants to reach out and swap this out, just in case it is defective, then I would certainly like that.

Easy to use
After training with these for several years I finally got one for my home boxing set up and enjoy it very much I like the flexibility and feel of the bag now that I can work on jab cross hook and uppercut at the same time the way to the bag is good it's not too heavy and not too late the 75 pound version is just perfect for a good workout.

Water
Great water bag. I hung it straight from the garage roof. Drilled into a Joyce and used a hanger that was also bought on amazon but I replaced their bolt's with some stainless steel ones from Lowes. Works great! Chain has good length so it provides a lot of swing. I have a 75lbs bag, so you can really pop it with uppercuts and it'll bang around but it holds together just fine. I'd suggest not punching it bare handed ever, though.

Very nice product!
Not too happy about how the box was ripped open when I found it delivered on my porch however, the teardrop Aqua Training Bag was great. Everyone in the gym loves it! Great for training combos with hooks and uppercuts. Looks very nice and very durable as well as easy to fill up and Mount.

Love My Bag!
I just started boxing in my 50's and I have hand and shoulder issues - I was worried about hitting a bag after learning shadowboxing. I love my Aqua bag (his name is Bob lol) the water makes hitting easier on this old gal's hands. It is hanging in my yoga studio and gets lots of great comments. Very nice to look at! Going to order a second for our vacation property!

Amazing bag
Great bag. Filled in tub first with warm water. Let it hang for a day to gain shape. Filled the remainder hanging to reduce spilling on the floor. Put a plastic bin under. 2 person job for sure.
