One of my favorite and top purchases in the EDC tool category.
I'm so glad I bought this. I LOVE this screwdriver/knife. They sell one that's larger and has scissors but honestly I've never used scissors that much and without them the size is perfect. If fits perfectly into the VIPERADE VE1 EDC Tool Pocket Organizer, or in my pocket. Seems sturdy. I tightened up the handle on my sliding glass door which takes a lot of torque to tighten and this accomplished that no problem. And if you leave it at a 90 degree angle to the handle instead of open fully you can squeeze even more torque out of it. (Not sure how much or if it's even recommended to use when not opened fully but it worked fine for me and still opens and closes as new and doesn't seem bent or distorted whatsoever. Good sturdy EDC screwdriver. Magnetically holds the bit in. Great color, great size, great usefulness, and great tool all around. I will order more as gifts in the future. Will update about durability and function after multiple uses. Probably my favorite purchase so far. I should mention the knife locks open but the screwdriver arm does NOT. Not a problem for me but maybe for others. It does fall into a divot or something when fully open so it stays open and you can hear it click in place so it doesn't just close from gravity or fall shut. Shipped on time. 5 stars all around.

Compact EDC
Very compact and handy. Screwdriver is good for light work. Blade feels sturdy and sharp for utility work. Plus a bottle opener. Great easy edc tool for anyone who prioritizes slim and easy carry items

I like the screwdriver feature
Well made knife. Sharp. Nice addition of a screwdriver. the version i got did not have a pocket clip. I felt it to be a little on the larger and heavier side. Now with that being said no clip and larger/heavier I managed to lose this knife 2 days after receiving it.

This is an excellent pocket knife
I needed to replace a poorly manufactured Kershaw pocketknife that literally just fell apart when I dropped it onto a dirt driveway. I wanted a simple option of a quality blade with a flip out interchangeable bit that I can use around the farm. This knife met my needs and exceeded my expectations. When folded, It is much smaller than my old Kershaw, but the blade is just as long, and super sharp. So far I've cut cardboard, twine, rope, and briar canes with no signs of pulling the blade. THIS IS A GREAT KNIFE!

Would be SO much better if Gerber was better at pivots
The blade is sharp and the bit driver works well. The steel is, I believe, 5Cr15MoV, so it's pretty durable. So why does this have a very average "three stars"? 1. The problem with this is the problem with anything folding by Gerber - they're awful at designing anything with a pivot. The blade is difficult to open. If you want to loosen the pivot, you need a special tool for it (I have one). However, loosening the pivot doesn't do much except make the blade too wiggly when it's open. This is a common problem for Gerber folders - in order to make any Gerber folder reliably open with one hand, the pivot has to be loosened enough that the blade wiggles when open. That's a bad thing. 2. Other reason I'm not keen on it is the inability to put it on anything but a keychain or just in your pocket. I've got a little carabiner on it now, which improves its usability. Okay now let's talk about things I do like about it: 1. The blade steel is very good and sharp. I've been taking it to various light duty tasks a LOT, and I still haven't needed to sharpen it. The edge holds much better than say an 8cr13Mov blade. 2. The single bit driver is pretty functional, with a long enough shank to reach into some tighter areas. The included bit is a reversible Philips/Flathead, and isn't showing any signs of wear and tear despite regular usage. It would be nice if the bit driver could lock, but I'm not dinging a star for that. 3. It's very compact, but still good in the hands, so it'll fit in your pocket easily. Would I recommend it? Ehhh, I guess if you don't need a one-handed blade and are more into the "multi tool" aspect of it, this is a decent product. The "blade doesn't like to open easily" aspect is a big no no to me, though. I'll still keep it and use it as a backup.

Nice knife if you don't need a lot of extra fluff
I love that this knife has a good sized blade, locks into the handle, and comes with a useable screwdriver set. Those were the two features I mainly used from my old swiss army knife. The blade arrived sharp, and it fits fairly nicely in the had. I find the bottle opener almost impossible to deploy, there is no leverage to grab it to pull it out, and I can't see any way to change this. I don't really know if I'll ever use it, so that's not a big deal to me, but worth noting. Also, this is (obviously) not as comfortable to hold as a swiss army knife, since there are no sides covering the tools. It does allow it to have larger tools without feeling large in your pocket. Overall I'm very happy with it, and don't plan on replacing it any time soon.

Great Gerber quality knife!
After having read the reviews, I decided to purchase this knife/utility to use as an EDC. I received this knife and must say, I was impressed. Nice sturdy blade (not flimsy), easy to use Phillips bit as well as the slotted-head bit. It also contains a bottle opener. Unfortunately for me, my wife saw this knife/utility and decided to commandeer it for her own use! She said that she wanted it because there's always that time that we say "I wish I had a screwdriver to fix this or that," while out and about. PROS: Gerber quality, easy to use, perfect for an EDC CONS: None noted at the time of this review

Truly is a slim, lightweight design
First and foremost, the word "scale" refers to this knife's handle which is aluminum. If you do an Amazon search of "knife scales", the result will list various materials like G10, micarta, etc. for making custom knife handles. Now on to my review, this tool is one of the slimmest and lightest that I own period. I removed the keyring and filed down that sharp corner edge located in that area to improve the comfort in hand. Another benefit is the magnetic bit holder that can hold any standard size bit. The bit holder is aligned to center so it's easier to stay on the screwhead. Most drivers on multi-tools are off center and awkward at times to use. The knife blade was really sharp out of the box. I've only had to strop it a few times to maintain the edge. It's as sharp as my two Gerber Shark Belly knives; semi-serrated & straight versions. I carry this Gerber Slimbar just about everyday because it disappears in the pocket, isn't bulky and is a decent knife/screwdriver/bit driver/ bottle opener combo. If I need 17 different tools in 1 , I'll grab my Leatherman rebar. I'm still looking for the burnt orange model because I like the color, but don't want to pay retail.

Surpreendente!
