Is this a standard standard size?

Since we are replacing thesein the guitar why not do it in the amp too? Wouldnt the concern be the same?

Certainly. These can be used in amplifiers, speaker cabs, or any application that uses a panel mount jack with solder lugs. Using them to replace circuit board mounted jacks may be a bit of work though, and probably isn't a job for a novice. Also be aware that tube amps can produce potentially lethal voltages. If you aren't 100% sure of what the safety procedures are for any amp part replacement or repair, take the amp to a professional for the work to be done.

Would this work on guitar pedals

This would work for pedals. It's just about the same dimensions as a regular 1/4" jack. It's a bit more expensive, and you'd need two per stompbox. I'd just go with regular jacks myself. This special jack has four total contacts, which makes it beneficial on a guitar, which gets moved and tugged a lot. Stomp boxes just kind of sit there. It's up to you though.

Si tienes suerte de encontrarlos baratos, no dudes en comprarlos. Se los puse a una Jackson King V con humbuckers poderosos y a una copia Les Paul Ibanez con humbuckers más versátiles en cuanto a géneros, y en ambas guitarras se nota un mejor sonido, ya que las cuatro zonas de contacto con el jack preservan la señal y evita el molesto "crackle" o crujir al girar el cable cuando te mueves. Debido a esto mismo, puede resultar un poco más difícil meter o sacar el jack en la guitarra, así que cuidado al sacarlo porque muerden fuerte el jack, pero valen su eficiencia.
