AeroCool Integrator 400W Power Supply, 80 Plus, Up to 85% Efficiency, 12 cm Black Fan, for an Entry-Level System - Black

Using the i3 P8H61-MX board with a GeForce GT610, a SATA DVD-ROM and a regular SATA hard drive I get a power consumption of 37 watts with a HiDef video running. This is an improvement on the previous 800 watt power supply which drew 50 watts for the same board and configuration. The unit is fairly quiet also, although no different from the previous 800 watt PSU. This was a replacement for the first one which had a problem. See below for the report on the first unit:I fitted the unit and started the computer. The boot process began normally but then I noticed smoke coming from the power supply and a burning smell. I immediately switch off the PC at the mains socket. The pink SATA power cable that was running from the PSU to the DVD-ROM had partially melted, but the part that followed on to the SATA Hard Drive was O.K. I suspect that both the DVD-ROM and the SATA drive had enough power to boot properly, but for some reason the pink cable over-heated.I repeated the process using the other SATA power cable, but the same thing happened. The PC booted normally but had to be aborted due to the pink cable over-heating. Afterward I noticed that some of the power cables had melted into each other and at one point on one of the pink cables there was bare wire showing.Fortunately my PC was not damaged and I have re-fitted the old power supply unit.

I recently built a new PC. Ryzen 9 3990x, MSI motherboard, RTX 2060 GPU etc... and wanted a decent power supply which wasnt too expensive... This was just the job.The smei modular design means non essential cables can be left out so it makes cable management a lot easier... only needing to use the cable for your specific build.Plenty enough power for most systems and not too noisy... certainly cant hear it over my case/AIO cooler fans.

I can't recommend this psu as when the pc is in standby the psu emits a horrible constant noise that is very alarming, I've only ran low power rigs (10400f i5 with a 1660 super, max wattage probably close to 250 all in all) but intended to use it with a 3060 and don't feel confident enough in the product to do so.Don't be cheap, get a more expensive psu as this thing is potentially dangerous

Was weary about getting this from a brand which was not considered 'top-ranked' by some reviewers. However, it has performed well.A big plus point is this is a semi-modular power supply. Which means the main power cords are attached but all the auxiliary power cables can be attached as necessary. This leads to a much neater case. For example, other than the main power cords I only have a power cable attached to a SATA SSD. That's it! No rats nest of cables at the bottom of my case anymore.This power supply is also relatively quiet and very easy to fit.

I originally bought this 600W supply to replace a Corsair 450W in my Grandsons PC as I thought about getting him a new graphics card....(I wish!). I first noticed how much lighter it was @ 1.6K compared to the Corsair @ 2.4K which immediately made me wonder about the quality. Installed it fine and the good point was the semi modular design. However after powering it up and testing with a game (F1 2020) it seemed to get quite hot and the PSU fan kept running constantly at full making a noticeably loud whine. The Corsair one was hardly audible when gaming the same compared to this. The Ryzen 5 1600 CPU hovered around the 50-55 C mark and the GPU a GTX 1650 Super was around the same so it's not those causing the heat but probably the PSU heatsinks being inadequate. Being disappointed at the quality it has been returned.
