The only thing to note is there is a bit of a technique to using these... Use a finger to slightly raise the tool above the rim so that air can escape the glass. This will let the Guinness distribute evenly through all the holes in the tool and allow for continual pouring. Otherwise, it does indeed make the perfect black and tan!

Got 3, one for a specific gift, one to keep, and one to have as an emergency gift if needed. Already had to use the emergency gift, so it was awesome to have around. This tool, with a 6 pack of Guinness and a 6 pack of Harps makes a perfect gift. As for using it, definitely took a couple tries to get used to, but it does indeed make perfect black and tans. I like to pour a cider first, followed by a Guinness, I believe the only way for it to work is to do the light colored beer/cider first, then the dark.

While it took a few tries with different beers I finally had my first home poured Black & Tan. You need to be aware of different densities of the bees being used so you might need to do a few "experiments" first but the device works great after the right combination is found, usually through trial and error. Good side, it's still beer even if not in 2 layers so CHEERS!!!
