I was looking for a lightweight, attractive storage trunk or box for blankets. This product absolutely fits my needs. It is well made, it is attractive and it holds a LOT of blankets. It is not a piece of furniture, so if you are looking for a cedar chest or trunk you are going to have to look at furniture, and pay a bit more for the item. For the price, this piece is a real steal. I am so glad I followed my instincts, many of the other reviews were critical of the durability and quality. I am well pleased. This was exactly what I needed and what I was looking for.

I really like the design concept of this chest. No assembly necessary; it comes as it appears in the product listing. The combination of rich wood grain, juxtaposed with the industrial edge of the galvalume, merges the aesthetic of two worlds quite nicely. It's sturdy enough to secure about 100 or so lbs of various items. However, I wouldn't load it like a Hope Chest, with the way the primary structural materials are composed. Rather than adding the galvalume as an accent sheathing, they fashioned the wooden framework of the of the chest, and used the galvalume to cap/close the 4 side planes, INSTEAD of wood panels. I can't quite tell how the sheets are mounted/fastened, but I'm being mindful of how much weight is resting against them from within. It feels like a big price tag for a chest that has this lack of structural integrity. Everything feels assembled securely, though; as I was able to lift and carry this chest to it's current position in my living space, without causing the unit to flex or collapse anywhere. Lots of space for storage within, and it looks AMAZING. Overall, I'm quite happy with the product itself, even if it seems a bit expensive for how it's designed, structurally.

The trunk itself is very nice, it's well made, it's all that I had hoped for.

I’m so disappointed on this chest. It’s made from what seems like lightweight balsa wood and it the flimsiest thing you can imagine. It looks nice - but it already. And cracked on the bottom of one side, the top end of the other and a piece from inside the lid was already broken off. Though it’s lightweight, due to the size, it would be more trouble to take it to UPS than to keep it. I also has a chemical smell which I hope dissipates soon. I was going to try to speak with the seller directly, but did not see how I could do so.

I spent hours trying to find a box by the door we can throw shoes in. Tried one but so flimsy it broke getting it out of the package. Here is the just of the box... Pros...does look decent, sturdier than others I have tried, after I removed the bar hinge that allowed it to open at different heights-see below, it worked great. Overall, I am pleased and would buy another one. Cons...not so sturdy you could throw in tools, drills, etc. etc. Works great for clothing, small toys, shoes etc. The stress hinge that is supposed to allow the lid to open at different heights is worthless. It has a terrible popping sound, and does not work for 'half open' anyway. I did find however, if I removed the side hinge...easily done, the top opened great...really, it works better without the side hinge. Sooo much better than the vinly covered storage boxes that I bought from Amazon Two month update. The box is still working great by the door for shoe storage. As mentioned earlier, the side hinge made a terrible popping sound...but easily removed, back hinges work great. Would recommend for light to moderate storage needs. Have tried all types of vinyl storage boxes....the wooden easy to open and shut wins by far. I would buy another down the road if needed. Worth the money for storage that people will see in open areas.

Nice lightweight trunk. It has a somewhat vintage look, which adds to the charm. My top has an ever so slight shift in but it's up on top of my chest dresser so no one will ever view this. I put a bit of stain (I always have some) on mine, including the metal portion, and it looks great. I would buy this again.

I will admit up front that I did not test the chest for sturdiness or quality of construction. This purchased was for a singular purpose. It was to service as a gift box for a valuable Christmas gift. It was set up as a pirate's chest with the main gift surrounded by packing material, and various treasures such as fake pirate coins, chocolate coins, loot bars, etc. It was a huge hit. If you have a family member that loves pirates or gaming, this will make an excellent and non traditional gift box. It makes a nice decoration in a game room after it serves its purpose as a gift box.

This is the perfect item for what I wanted. We redid our daughters room in a Moana theme and wanted a treasure chest. one that she could use for keepsake items when she gets a little bigger (she is 5). The chest is exactly as described! it makes a cool three click sound as you crank open the lid which she loves. It is made with strong hardware that only allows the lid to open straight up so it doesn't fall backwards once lifted. It smells absolutely amazing since it's real wood. Very lightweight!

This Wooden trunk looks great with the decor of our cottage. We store our chopped wood in it for our fireplace. My husband made a wood piece to sit on the bottom. It is very durable and perfect in every way. I would recommend this trunk.

J'ai acheté ce coffret pour compléter mon ensemble de chambre à coucher. Il est parfait au pied de mon lit et peut contenir environ 6 ensembles de draps ou 3 grosses couvertures. Pour le prix, je suis vraiment satisfaite!
