Perfect size for the pool. So far it is keeping the ducks away, which is the reason for the purchase. At a quick glance it seems somewhat real. Great colors. The tail curls enough that I found wrapping it around the step bar at the pool stairs keeps it in place. Even better when the wind blows and moves it from side to side.

I bought this Alligator out of desperation. I had ducks landing in my pool frequently and the mess they made on my sidewalk and in the pool was very upsetting. I blew this Alligator up and placed it in the pool the day I got it and lo and behold, a duck landed but immediately took flight. Not a single duck has landed since. When there is a slight breeze, the alligator looks like he’s on patrol. It really is cute but more than that, it’s effective! Highly recommended.

Great blow up pool toy..

This is our second time using one of these, and securing it made all the difference. What we changed: The first time, it kept getting blown out of the pool. This time, I attached it to a raft anchor to keep it in place. Results: It has now held up through several Oklahoma windstorms without leaving the pool - and we haven’t had a single duck show up since. Effectiveness: Once it stays in place, it works exactly as intended. The movement on the water combined with the realistic look seems to be enough to keep birds away. Overall: If you’re planning to use this as a deterrent, anchoring it is key. Once we did that, it became incredibly effective.

This alligator floaty in particular is my absolute favorite! It’s been a game-changer in keeping my pool clean and free from iguanas and raccoons. They’ve been using it as a toilet, and I’ve had to deal with the unpleasantness of iguana poop. But now, thanks to this floaty, I’ve no more worries! I’ve tried other floaties and floating heads, but they’d fade and stop working after a while. The only downside is that they lose air quickly and can’t seem to find a hole to fix. But hey, I’m willing to keep refilling it rather than having iguanas poop all over my pool!

Well, I’m honestly a bit disappointed. I thought these gators were going to be the size of a pool inflatable but they are much smaller. I do see the dimensions are listed and I admit that I didn’t pull out my measuring tape, but the photos looked like these could be pool size- which they aren’t. If you want smaller inflatables, the quality seems good and the detail on the gators is great.

As advertised. Worked great for our purpose. Did not leak a bit.

The “alligator” came delivered in a bag. I was amazed by how flimsy it is. While it inflates like a regular beach ball, the air comes out almost as fast as you blow it in. I bought this because a duck or two crapped in my pool on my new plaster. Despite the other reviews and video, as with many things that are sold on Amazon, it’s difficult to obtain a real sense of what this product is before purchase. It is a kid’s pool toy that might help some to ward off ducks in a pool. The ducks actually or potentially in one’s pool have to be extremely stupid to mistake this toy as a predator. Even with all of these observations, I decided to keep and deploy the “alligator”. The price is OK and I didn’t want to take a chance with a return of my feathered friends. It is not the only defensive measure that I took. I also strung some weed wacker line low and near the steps because of a video that I saw in which a man used fishing line. Between the two measures, the ducks have not been back since Thursday night. Hopefully, my success so far will continue without interruption. As pool owners know or should know, duck crap is very bad for plaster and unhealthy. P.S. Almost One Month Later: “Al” has been doing “his” job. The ducks have not returned and the pool seems relatively cleaner from other wildlife’s avoidance measures. So, I am pleased with “him”. “He” hangs by where I do as if “he” is keeping me company. So, I am pleased with “him” overall.

Brought them for some croc loving boys and they are the perfect size! What a great product and amazing quality!
