The lightweight build and soft ear pads make a difference; I’ve definitely had headsets that started feeling like a vice grip after an hour, but the H3 just sort of disappears. The adjustability is straightforward too – slid it onto my brother’s bigger head when he borrowed it, and it locked in place easily. Sound-wise, it’s competent. The bass has a nice punch that makes explosions in games like Call of Duty feel impactful without being muddy, and the midrange emphasis really helps pick out footsteps or reload sounds in competitive matches – super useful when you’re trying to clutch a round. For music, it’s okay; vocals can sometimes get a bit buried behind the bass if you’re listening to something dense, but for podcasts or casual listening while working, it’s perfectly fine. Nothing audiophile-grade, but honestly, for gaming and chat, it’s more than sufficient. The microphone is where this headset actually surprises me. My teammates consistently comment on how clear my voice comes through – no muffled sounds or excessive background noise picking up my ceiling fan or the AC unit (which runs constantly here). It’s plug-and-play simple; I didn’t need to fiddle with settings on my PC or PS5. Just plugged it in via the splitter cable, and it worked. The lift-to-mute feature on the boom is handy too – flick it up when I need to yell at the cat knocking over my coffee cup. Now, for the drawbacks. The volume dial is honestly annoying. It’s this flat disc on the right ear cup that’s stiff to turn with one finger – I often end up using my thumb and forefinger, which breaks my concentration mid-game. Worse, the braided cables, while nice and tangle-free *in theory*, somehow manage to create this faint rubbing noise against the left ear cup when I move my head slightly. It’s not loud, but noticeable in quiet moments, like during a cutscene or when waiting for a match to start. And yeah, no software or EQ customization exists – what you hear is what you get. If you like to tweak your audio profiles, this isn’t the headset for you. On the value front, I paid around $80-$90 for it (seen it on sale sometimes), and for that price, it feels fair. You’re not paying for RGB lights or fancy wireless tech, but you are getting reliable comfort, a genuinely good mic, and solid wired audio that works everywhere – PC, my Switch in docked mode, even my phone when I’m using it to chat while walking the dog around my neighborhood. It’s the kind of headset you buy when you want something dependable that won’t need constant charging or troubleshooting, especially useful when you’re traveling and don’t want to deal with pairing issues in airport lounges or hotel rooms. Would I buy it again? Probably, if I needed a straightforward wired replacement tomorrow. It’s not perfect, but it does the core things well – comfort for long wear, clear communication, and decent game audio – without asking much in return. It’s the reliable sedan of gaming headsets: not exciting, but you know it’ll start every morning. After using it regularly for a few months, especially mixing in those Florida trips where I needed something hassle-free, I’d say it earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It loses points for those nagging little annoyances (the volume wheel, cable noise) but gains back a lot for being genuinely comfortable and having a mic that doesn’t make people ask if you’re on a speakerphone. If you prioritize comfort and mic quality over bells and whistles, and don’t mind being tethered by a cable, it’s a sensible pick. Just don’t expect it to blow your mind – expect it to work, day in and day out.

Spent some time trying different headsets for my new Xbox and PC gaming. I settled on this one. The earcup volume control is handy and easy to use quickly and the snap up mic lets you know without question whether you are muted or not. Very comfortable over time and I'm impressed with the sound quality for the price. I'm hearing more in my games. I do wish it had some sort of in built chat volume mixer but not a deal killer for me. I recommend.

Good build quality and packaging. This headset will not wow you, it just does everything OK. Bass is ok, highs are ok, microphone is ok, nothing to really boast about but it feels appropriate at a $50 price point. The analog noise cancellation is excellent which helps you really hear the output of the small drivers. This noise cancellation is credited to thick ear pads and a tight clamping style fit on your head. Not a good headset for large heads. The actual cup of the earphones are precisely ear shaped so that you can really only put the headset on one way, large ears will not fit inside the cups and may get pressed. The microphone has a loud hissing background noise when connected to 3.5 audio port of PC, you will need to constantly adjust levels and settings to get the mic correct.

The sound quality is amazing if you have a usb sound card or dac.. very clear with nice sound across all ranges.. but the only draw back is that it gets really warm and the clamping force is a little bit annoying after a while

Because of an incident that happened with one of our dogs, the top port on my computer got ruined as well as my old pair of GSP 300's, which I had been using for the past 4 years. I'm particular about not changing things unless I absolutely have to, so when I tell you I fell in love with these H3's I mean it. It's hard, if not impossible to beat the price and quality of this product, especially when compared to other gaming headsets. The microphone quality is clear, no background noise. The headphones really do noise cancel to an extent, more than I was expecting. Because of the durability of my last Sennheiser's, I can only assume these will last as long if not longer. Highly recommend picking these up if you like wired headsets.

These might be some of the worst headphones I've ever used. Their quality for input and output was almost not even noticeable compared to the HyperX headphones I had from 7+ years ago. Not even 3 months in and suddenly I can't connect it to my PS5 controllers without having sound drop off and anyone in a chat party getting huge noise feedback. I've never dropped the headphones or ripped them out of the controller forcefully. My product is now worthless. Don't ever buy this brand. They have no standards for quality.

Bought these to replace my PS Pulse 3D that was hurting me like hell. These have 3D sound as well and they are much more comfortable, I love the fit, the ability to adjust, only downside is the cable, I don’t know why the mini Jack had to be in an angle it should have been straight because the way it is now, it is protruding upwards or getting into my fingers way. Overall very good though, I just wish it had a wireless option.

I have the Sennheiser PC37X and I absolutely love it. One of the best headsets I’ve owned for the price. The sound is great, the mic is surprisingly good, and the comfort is miles ahead of any other headset. Only drawback is its open back, which I prefer, but I needed a closed back headset for some slight noise dampening. I read that this headset, the H3, would be a comparable choice but no… if you’re in a similar position and are used to the quality of the PC37X/PC38X, stay away from this trash. The audio quality leaves A LOT to be desired. Maybe the open back version is better, but the treble and mids are ludicrously high. Luckily the bass isn’t as high, which is surprising since most gaming headsets have obnoxious bass. Overall the sound quality is a total mess. Even with EQing it’s just a poor experience. Awful for music especially. The cable noise is possibly the worst I’ve seen in a headset. Actually insane this headset passed R&D. How they didn’t notice this with a closed back headset is absolutely bizarre. Comfort is okay… but I haven’t used it in a long session yet. The fake felt with cushion in back is decent enough. The clamp force isn’t awful either but not sure for a long session. Either way, it doesn’t touch the comfort of the PC37X. The volume dial is soooo poorly designed. Luckily I use a knob macro’d to voice meeter, but this dial is difficult to turn and misses all the ergonomics that the PC37X has. Sennheiser/EPOS, what were you thinking with this?!

Great sound.quality headphones for the price

Very good headphones so far. I use on my PC for gaming. Microphone is clear apparently, sound is good and I rarely need to turn the volume up past low. Fit is comfortable, and well made. I would say it's a good price point. Connectivity is USB and well seated.

Headset mais confortável que eu já usei. Muito leve. As almofadas se acomodam perfeitamente na minha orelha. Mesmo sem o DAC, esse fone entrega qualidade de som e mic absurda frente aos outros produtos que já testei. Utilizo ele no meu setup mobile e ficou perfeito trabalhar ouvindo música, podcast, vídeos e fazer calls. Só recebo elogios pela qualidade do mic. Ainda, uso para jogar CoD MW3 e agora consigo ouvir claramente os inimigos e consegui melhorar um pouco meu KD. Realmente ele da uma vantagem competitiva em games.
