Does it function well, and will it last? These two questions are always come to mind when a new tool is being considered. For this item, the function is there. The rubber body seems well made with little tendency to slip. The nuts turn well on the threaded shafts, and the size is appropriate for holding such water stones as I have. The stainless knurled nuts are easy to grip and turn easily, so swapping out a stone takes only a moment. So will it last? Looking at it new there is nothing that appears failure prone. The stainless hardware looks bullet-proof, and the rubber parts seem very sturdy. If it ever fails I will update this review, but I doubt that will ever happen.

Works well. Adjusts easily. These are chrome plated bolts and nuts so it will rust allow to dry before storing. Holds stones up to 9.5 inches. Lies flat doesn't rock or wobble. Good value.

Works fine for me I'm not going to worry about rust I use an oil Stone. Bit when I do it would be easy to rinse off wipe down.

It works exactly as it's advertised. It holds your water stones so that they don't slip. It adjusts very easily. I wondered if the black holder would be soft rubber and not slide well, or hard plastic and not grip well. It was soft rubber that also slides well and the adjusting nuts twist smoothly too. This is a good tool.

Have only used the holder once but it appears that it will do a good job of helping me sharpen.

Bought to support my new ceramic wet stones (Shapton glass stones). Holds them securely and does not move while use. It appears to be well made with smooth finishes.

Easy to adjust more than large enough for bench stones seems durable. I don’t use conventional water stones so won’t be getting this wet a lot but can’t image any problems unless you left sitting in water
