I ordered this in May 2025 as a backup charger for my work computer when bringing it home. Thus, I did not use it very often, but it worked just fine when I did. In December 2025, I plugged it in and the unit sparked and buzzed. I immediately unplugged and checked it in various outlets - the issue remained. Although the return window had passed, I reached out to Amazon with my concerns due to the safety issue. They connected me with the seller, who replied almost instantly. A few days later, a new unit showed up on my doorstep and seems to be in great working condition! I really appreciate the customer service here, even though the return window had passed. The prompt response and replacement by the Sehonor team was great!

I am very sorry that I made the mistake of not purchasing a genuine Apple charger. Each of the two genuine Apple chargers that I had lasted more than 5 years. They could get warm but never dangerously hot. The adapter piece on this charger got so hot one time that it burned my fingers, and the charger box also got very hot. Shortly after this the charger stopped working and I discovered significant damage to my computer. I got a diagnosis from the Apple Store and they confirmed the damage to the MagSafe Port and recommended replacement for safety reasons and for security. There are safety risks with operating a device with electrical damage. The repair estimate for my computer that I received from the Apple Certified repair service is $230. Thankfully, Amazon valued my A-Z claim and I will be compensated for the repair cost. This company should recall all their products which are not made according to safety standards, and compensate customers whose property has been damaged by their product. I also think customers who returned this product because it ceased to function should be asked to check their computers for possible damage. This charger I purchased on 1/25/24 is not safe. It is dangerous and damaging.

I bought this Sehonor 96W USB-C to MagSafe 3 charger as a backup for my 2023 MacBook Pro 16-inch (M2 Pro), and honestly, it performs just as well as the original Apple charger — maybe even better in some ways. This thing is a beast when it comes to charging speed. It fully charged my MacBook Pro 16” from near empty in under 2 hours. It’s great for traveling since I only need to bring this one brick.

UPDATE: The seller refunded the purchase for the full amount. I can't in good conscience give something a 5-star review to something that only lasted 4 months, but given that I'm not out any money, I also can't complain too much. While I'd stop just short of recommending this charger, I also wouldn't dissuade anyone from purchasing it. If you're lucky and it lasts for years, you'll have saved money and (more importantly, IMO) sent Apple a message by not giving in to their anti-consumer price gouging on accessories. If you're not and it only lasts a few months, you're not out any money so long as the seller refunds your purchase. Quit working after 4 months. I bought it to keep in my office at work so that I could just grab my laptop from my desk at home and go without having to worry about the charger. As such, this charger stayed in one place and was never subjected to the kind of situations that result in kinked cords, and it’s failure can only be attributed to poor quality.

It works perfectly for my MacBook Pro!!! The MagSafe connects pretty well and charging speed is fast, while it is much cheaper than Apple official 96W charger and MagSafe charging cable. Overall a great choice!!!
